Del Marcos Hotel

I had a really fantastic stay here. It's definitely a 4.5 stars out of 5, with only a few minor details that I think could stand improvement.

I think this hotel is a little bit overpriced considering the interiors need a little upgrading. The carpet, for example, was a bit dingy and they could definitely stand to upgrade to laminate. The TV was a bit small and old. And during my stay, the mugs provided for coffee were dirty which made me question whether they clean the dishes provided in each room between guests.

That being said, this hotel was such a welcome respite for a relaxing stay

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms are very quiet yet the hotel is located right near shops and restaurants. The complimentary breakfast and happy hour actually have good food and coffee as well as tasty drinks and good snack boxes. There is a nice little pool too. We had a couple issues with our room but we reported then to the front desk and they promptly fixed them. We will be back.

Cancelled my reservation 2 days before my stay without explanation. Not cool. Beware!!!! If you like this place, make sure you have at least a back up property!!!!

It's amazing how timeless good architecture can be. Cool place. Great staff. Very close to downtown. If you're looking for a hotel stay that is on the unique side, definitely put this place on your list.

Very cool spot! Felt very much like a palm springs vibe, cleaning crew was super nice, and so was front desk. Was walking distance to downtown and had a really nice pool area. Our room was very cool and they served little breakfast muffins, yogurts, etc. in the lobby during the mornings

We stayed in the Oceans 11 Suite. The whole experience was wonderful and super comfortable and clean. Hanging out by the pool was so relaxing!

The day we got in, the receptionist saw I was pregnant and gave us some sparkling cider since I couldn't drink what was out for their happy hour. I thought that was so cute and sweet of her.

In the mornings they gave us muffins and other small snacks and drinks. Overall we had a great time, and the hotel was only a short walk away from the strip! We didn't need to drive anywhere for the entire trip which was great.

Great weekend in PS! I had been eyeing this hotel for a while and finally made it- everything was amazing! Great host, Edgar (so accommodating, friendly and professional) and all the small details like happy hour each evening, nice breakfast, cool poolside music and misters to keep you cool. Stayed in the Nat Reed room (it included some amazing pieces of his art) which was decorated perfectly and comfortable - loved the claw foot tub on private patio. After meeting other guests, it was clear many come back every year as they love it so much. I did appreciate the adult only aspect of nice quiet

Stay here. The location is perfect: one block from the downtown Main Street and one block from a grocery store and Rite Aid. The rooms are clean the pool is great and mostly quiet. I will be back.

The hospitality was my favorite part about my stay. A very nicely appointed hotel, lovely peaceful pool and I can't rave enough about the swordfish tacos! Definitely my new favorite spot in the desert, can't wait to visit again soon!

The Del Marcos is so great!! My husband and I stayed here for a few days on our honeymoon and it was perfect. We spent most of our time around the pool and enjoyed the complimentary happy hour drinks and snacks! The staff was so friendly and helpful and we're already looking forward to a future visit. If you're looking for a retro spot for your visit to Palm Springs, I highly recommend this hotel!

Beautiful rooms ours was dog friendly. Nice quiet pool area. We were able to bring our own food and drinks. Lots to do in walking distance.

I’m honestly not sure how anyone could give this place less than five stars. Obviously the property is old but that’s what gives it so much charm. Everything felt updated and clean. We got a room with the tub on the patio and it was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had at a hotel. The happy hour with complimentary drinks and snacks was amazing. 21+ so no screaming children at the pool. Service was exceptional. All the employees were extremely nice and helpful. Location was perfect to walk to restaurants. 10/10

Sorry, this hotel was below expectations. The hotel has much to be desired and in need of some renovations and TLC.
Let's start with the good. The hotel has a wonderful history. The pool and grounds are maintained fairly well with plenty of seating and umbrellas. The staff is super friendly, professional, and polite. The location is amazing for walking around downtown to shops and restaurants. I felt very safe in the area walking especially at night. It was quiet while I stayed. The guests were an older/mature quiet crowd of late 30s, mostly 40's/50's and up. The vibe is very chill/relaxed.

Stayed here a month ago and really enjoyed it mostly because it was dead and the pool is awesome. I can't give it a 5 because the rooms are a little run down but they were great to me so a 3.5 type place easily becomes a 4.

What an amazing find!!! This mid century vibe hotel was the best! Our room had a full kitchen and super spacious. Covid always makes things difficult but they made things easy, clean and make you for left about it while relaxing at the pool. Complementary happy hour snacks and drinks was a bonus. Friendly staff and clean common areas and rooms. We found our spot.

A Total Disappointment: My husband and I had booked a room at this hotel for three nights (Nov 12, 2020 til Nov. 15, 2020.
When we checked in our room had been given away and We were offered really poor choices as alternatives. To add insult to Injury the General Manager, Laura, recommended We could always look for another hotel. We have in the past stayed at La Serena and the same situation occurred. That time at least they were able to offer an appropriate alternative. This time We left and did go to another hotel. We will never return to Del Marcos or La Serena as both are very poorly

Booked trip at Del Marcos for our 8 year wedding anniversary, my first time in Palm Springs! Upon arriving I'm told our room was given to someone else, and the manager comes out with a fake apology saying "our policy clearly states you aren't guaranteed the room you booked." Excuse me, why would anyone ever book a room at your hotel if they aren't assured that the room they paid for will actually be available when they arrive? CUTE OASIS IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN PALM SPRINGS

Amenities: The place has a pool, free bike rentals, internet, complimentary breakfast, outdoor bathtub in our private patio. You can order food at the sister hotel which is literally next door and the food was good.

Customer Service: The guy who checked us in was super nice and had excellent customer service. I told them prior to checking in that it was my sister's birthday and they had a cute sign and a sparkling wine waiting for us in the hotel.

This swanky spot knocked my socks off! I fell in love the minute I walked up to the front and Elvis was playing! We stayed overnight only and didn't get to fully enjoy all the amenities, but next time definitely! I highly recommend this fun and nifty hotel

Update on previous review... there was a misunderstanding when we checked in. We were not notified regarding no room service due to COVID-19. Had we known we would not had any expectations of service. Management was very professional and apologetic of lack of information provided to us. Will definitely come back to this very cute, friendly and mid-century boutique hotel.

What a disappointment! This is the first time staying at Del Marcos! I and my boyfriend have stayed in Palm's Springs many times! We thought we would try Del Marcos, since it looked super cute from the outside

This is long overdue! I stayed at the Del Marcos a couple weeks before the shelter in place orders took effect in late Feb/early March. The front desk
staff were super friendly and helpful. The other guests were great to chat with over breakfast. I got a fantastic massage at La Sirena Villas coordinated by the helpful folks at Del
Marcos. My room was fantastic! I had an outdoor bathtub and personal fire pit. Heavenly!

I visit Palm Springs at least three or four times a year and I always thought I should stay here sometime. Well, this time I did and it is awesome! I think it's going to be my new regular spot!
