Located in the heart of the Kenton neighborhood, we are a locally owned and managed boutique hotel with deep roots in the community. With 18 unique art-filled and eco-friendly rooms in a renovated 1962 property, we've combined all the things that make Portland great. Why stay with us?
Every room has a mural done by local artists painted directly on the wall, pet-friendly rooms, attentive decor, hand-crafted bed frames harvested from salvaged lumber, beautiful outside courtyard sitting area with gas firepit, and we are cannabis-friendly*.If this doesn't scream Portland we don't know what does.

Clean, cute rooms and great communication. I have been here twice and the last time I went, I arrived a day earlier than my reservation was for (I am a dummy) and we figured it out and I was able to stay that night even though it was pretty late. Will definitely continue staying here when in Portland :)

Clean and convenient, modern, large screen TV, tidy, close to dining and drinking. Would be nice if:
All the instructions on how to open the lock box, find the code, we're in one place in the instructions. Had to spend a bunch of time looking through multiple pages to figure out that it was the last four of our phone number.
Also would be nice if there were two hand towels instead of just one, if there were at least paper cups for water, and also if there were more bed pillows.
The towel rack fell off the wall. LOL. Needs a screw tightened.
There is absolutely no staff in the premises

I don't totally understand the negative reviews. No one is really on-site, but they are responsive via the Airbnb app. I ran into one housekeeping person who was personable and smiled at us.
My key was waiting for me in a lockbox. The room was impeccably clean. Simple, elegant, and spotless. Everything is new. Cute outdoor seating area. The price is cheaper than Motel 6. $25 pet fee per stay.
The hotel is extremely close to the convenient Denver strip and the Max line, so you wouldn't even need a car! No on-site parking that I saw.

Super cute hotel, nice location, and parking was never a problem. Mateo always replied quickly. We wouldn't recommend using the towels (even though they smelled really clean) but it was a great surprise to see a mini fridge, microwave, and big tv considering those appliances weren't listed on the airbnb description. Definitely recommend!

So let me start this by saying, that I am angry. This hotel confirmed my reservation for two rooms, and then when I get to the hotel to check in friends that flew in from out of town, nobody was at the front desk. As it turns out with lots of wandering around the property, this hotel hasn’t been open for months. Horrible customer service, the website is awful and after many calls to the owner (had to ask local businesses to share the name and number of the owner) no response. I was excited to out my friends up, in a spot close to my house. Skip this place if your trying to do the same. If I could

We stayed here for two days in January while our home was having work done. It is beautiful, welcoming, and located near great restaurants and shops. Each room has personality, and dogs are welcome!
The only reason I gave four stars instead of five is the internet quality; it was really poor, even in our room next to the office, and I was unable to work due to the poor connection. Kenton, please upgrade your internet and add small coffee pots to the rooms, and this will be our number one recommended place to stay when people visit!

Although the room was painted with a mural from a local artist that was nice, we didn't have wash cloths, the television didn't work. We called the service desk but they left for the night leaving the hotel unattended. No ice machine.
2nd night we tried to stay there, no one was at the hotel to even check us in. We called the number twice, no answer. We emailed with no reply back. They finally text us and said they were on their way over to check us in. We told them, never mind and we went to a different hotel.
I gave them one star, but honestly I would give them zero if that was a choice.

I guess this place is under new ownership and was remodeled recently. They had the best rates in the whole city when we visited! There aren't really any amenities and there's no parking at all, but the room was clean and really interestingly designed in a cool modern kind of way, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for a night during the winter holidays. We were up in cabin for a couple of days and decided to go to portland before we drove back home to San Diego (mainly to rest up and shower haha).
We were looking for a dog friendly place to book last-minute and luckily found this place. The dog fee per night was cheaper than other places we've called around portland (most of them charge $50, but at the kenton hotel they charged $25).
It's located in a nice area (Kenton) and have a couple of cute shops and Restaurants you can check out. There isnt a parking lot,

Looks great on the outside and on the surface, style is nice but the execution is mediocre. Reason behind the issues is no heater in the bathroom at all, so in the winter the bathroom is literally freezing. The heater was left off in our room before we checked in so again, freezing room that took several hours to warm up. The location is good and bad all at the same time, great walking distance to the wonderful Kenton area but it's placed right next to the train so it's constantly loud all day and night long. The other issue is the damn lights. It's like the sun is always up thanks

Super cute hotel! Each room is differently decorated and they have lots of little goodies in the room. There's even a chill spot with fire pit out front. Good place for a girls night out with all the bars, restaurants and clubs near by. There's a Fred Meyer too so you can grab last minute things you forgot at home. 7 miles from the airport. The Max drops you right off out front.
