The gym has pretty decent equipment but unfortunately it is not well kept up at the University location.
Rope pulls worn out and frayed.
A couple of the barbells are bent.
One of the power racks appears to have either home, or poorly made bar hooks. They are threaded but don’t fully thread leaving the loose and hanging.
The Cybex machine has been down for months.
The front door is frequently broken restricting access.
And the bathroom is usually unstocked and unkept.
And lastly,
The “music” repeating has got to change, depressing at best.

Started here about a year and half ago...I love this gym!! Ut has everything I need as I do bodybuilding competitions and am here ALOT. The staff is always smiling and friendly. They know me by name and my 9 year old absolutely LOVES the daycare. The girls are the BEST! They take care of the kiddos and play with them!

Moved to Odessa from Canada. Researched a few gyms before coming and this decided to check out Flex24 as well as a few others in the area. I was impressed on my first view of the gym. The front desk staff was mediocre at best. I explained I’m new to Odessa and want to sign up for a gym membership somewhere. Is asked if the do a few trial day and was quickly told no they don’t. The guy at the font desk basically said it’s $16.00 drop in or $75.00 to become a member. No real excitement at all about potentially gaining a new member from staff or any effort to build some rapport. I had to ask

The gym is cool but MAKE SURE you read that contract THOROUGHLY before you sign it. I’m needing to cancel a membership (I had to move and have a couple of other personal reasons for needing to cancel) but can’t do that due to the amount of money they’re wanting in order to cancel. I could transfer my membership to someone else but I don’t know anyone in Odessa that would want to pick it up.

This gym was okay for the distance when living in Odessa. There isn't much space to do any circuit training and a lot of the equipment is down and takes a long time to be repaired. They have kids running the smoothie bar and they always shut it down early so they can get out. It is extremely overpriced though. We signed up for a membership and paid just shy of $70 a month. When I moved to Midland she told me in order to break my contract I would have to pay a $350+ tax buy out fee (moving to Midland wasn't a valid reason for contract cancellation). I have been going to flex 24 since i moved to Odessa almost four years ago. The staff have always been friendly and greeted everyone with a smile on their face. The gym is never congested or dirty. People complain about the pricing, but its the nicest gym in the area and the people who go there respect the gym and do their part to not completely trash the gym. Flex 24 is where i first made friends when i moved out here. It has been a big positive in my life. What a fun, healthy community to be apart of!

Flex 24 is by far one of the greatest gyms I have made a membership with. Before becoming part of the staff, I came here for a few months and was pleased with how clean the facility is always kept, the wide variety of equipment here and how friendly all the staff is to help with any issues that came up. The dry sauna, outdoor workout range and smoothie bar just give a brief idea on how unique this place tries to be! I've been a member of Flex for several years now and ran across these reviews and I was confused! When signing a contract, you should read what you are signing! The document states clearly what level of membership you are purchasing! I now live in Midland and the gyms here are crazy expensive! Usually $150.+ and that's not including childcare! The staff at Flex are very personable and try to answer any of your questions. The smoothie bar is the best around and the childcare is clean, well run and fun! There is a TV in the play area however, with the big jungle-gym, the kiddos are not

Cons: over priced, treadmills never work, they take their time to fix things(sauna), they charge you a yearly fee for equipment upgrades but they don't upgrade anything (massage chairs and counting) management seriously does not exist.

Flex24 has a great staff along with a wide assortment of weights and machines, the outdoor expansion gives you the opportunity to get a good workout in with the comfort and freshness of the outdoors and the best part is your kids can have fun while you do too in the childcare room. I have worked here at Flex for 2 years now. It is amazing when you work at a place that supports fitness, family and friendship like Flex! They have the best equipment, classes and childcare around! I love how clean everything is when I come to work and to workout. I know 24 hours a day it is a safe and amazing place for me to come in and get back in shape after having my little girl. I can't wait to see this June's upgrades!!! The updates are always worth the wait :)

If I could I would give it -5 I enjoyed this gym for my 1 year contract duration period. After the 1 year contract was up I turned in my key and asked to discontinue membership. I sent an email as told to do. 2 months later they are billing me. Management is never there when I go in person to resolve this issue. I call and no one answers. I email and get the run around. I am fed up of them taking my hard earned money when my contract is over. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I'm posting a review because I read the others and was shocked. I was referred to Flex 24 when I moved here and I bought a 12 month membership right off the bat; about $70 a month. I've only used the cardio equipment, but they all seem to work when I've been in and are kept clean. Most of the time I went to the afternoon RPM classes. One of the instructors, Jennifer, is awesome and a great motivator! Her class is always full.
