Enjoyed staying there, right in heart of everything on 2nd street I believe it was. Nice staff. Plan to stay again one day..Only thing is parking, rarely will you get a spot in lot underneath hotel. But...plenty of parking 2 short blocks away, once people check out you can bring your car closer which is what we did.

Checked into a smoking room with my kids and my husband and it was so smelly it left a smoking smell on my clothes and there was a sneaker still in the room. How was it cleaned if they missed it? No mask rules none of the guest had on masks but my family. Just nasty I work for Marriott so I know what hotels should be doing and not doing. The front desk guy was nice he upgraded us to a non smoking room but made us pay an extra 25 dollars he could have did it for free since the room was not cleaned!!! I will not be staying here again It was a mistake to stay here I’m a Marriott woman.

Everything is filthy. the maids didn’t come to our room once to clean, it was disgustingly nasty. way too expensive for what they gave us. i wouldn’t advise anyone to stay here, the only good thing is the pool and the hot tubs. i’ve never seen a room so dirty. there was dirt even in the crevices of the textured ceiling. dust all over the entire room and trash underneath the beds. it’s got some really lousy housekeeping here. and no one cares that the rooms are filthy.

The rating is based only on room size and the fact that the hotel is older. The location gets a 5 it's right on the beach and boardwalk!
I booked this hotel knowing that the reviews were mixed. That being said, I knew I had a 50/50 chance of a decent trip. I was taking my elderly mother on this trip and needed accessibility. I loved that we were right on the beach and that there was a pool and bar with bands twice daily. The live music was great!
So we asked for a room on the lobby floor- again for accessibility. We did get a room that smelled and looked clean. I mean it was small and had no

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The pictures online are very deceiving, they must use a filter to make the rooms much more bright in color. Parking was pretty bad, all the spots near the builder are very tight, could not fit my truck in so I had to park 3 blocks down at another lot. There is a band that plays next to the pool and kept me up all night I could not get to bed until very late. The lobby bathrooms were very dirty and musty. Room also had a musty smell to it. My room had smoking tables outside and people were very loud as well the band. Hallways are super tight and had

WARNING: THIS IS NOT A DECENT HOTEL!
Even calling this place a motel is stretching it. We thought we paid for the hotel upfront (online), but apparently the hotel wants you to pay the full price (for us it was $700) upon check-in. Our room looked decent, but upon taking a closer look, it was disgustingly revolting. The room smelled moldy. The “housekeepers” (housekeeping) didn’t change the sheets on the beds or fold the beds once. The towels they gave us were small and insufficient for drying off. The mini-fridge had stains and even a few strands of hair on it (not from us). The chain on

I realize it’s a matter of opinion and this hotel will continue to do well because of its location but I am sure there are much better options than this place. I hadn’t been here in years but decided to give it a try. I have very fond childhood memories of the Plim Plaza. Clearly though, it’s gone downhill over the years. First off, rooms are tiny and beds are small. The beds felt like two twin beds and I am not sure how more than two people could be comfortable in these rooms. Not sure how a family of four would fit. I felt like I was in a NYC hotel. Parking is terrible. They have a small

Staff was amazing and so friendly. The rooms are nice and cozy. We brought a 2 year old and the pack and play we got from here for our stay was so nice and clean it was like brand new. The pool, hot tubs and bar are also a plus and very nice. The weekend they had live bands playing for most of the day. Its also directly on the board walk. Would highly recommend

2nd year in a row we went for a beverage at the bar and had to wait 10 mins to even get acknowledged that we was there and that's only because I spoke up .. And then it was followed by an aggressive attitude by the bartender... better places in OC to get a drink with friendlier bartenders..

Have a love hate relationship with this place. We always stay at Plim when we come here. It's nice that you can chill out at your pool however so can anyone else who straggles off the boardwalk. The pool is typically packed with non hotel users. Today I'm extremely frustrated that the grill closed at 6 and bar at 7. Was really hoping for a few drinks and relaxation with the hubby. Guess they didn't get the memo that summer this year has two extra weeks. They are operating like its mid September.

As me and my husband were walking towards the boardwalk we couldn't help but steer towards the direction of sound coming from up above, we peeped our head upstairs and noticed it was a bar, COOL! So we got our drinks and the service was nothing above and beyond, which we weren't too needy about. It had a laid back vibe but we noticed how the Parrot (mascot for the bar theme) seemed very depressed contemplating its dreadful life of mockery due to it not being free as he should be as how nature works. And it really ruined our mood, this bird wanted to leave and the fact it's stuck

Ok. The volcano drinks are quite riots. Rum and more rum. The fried buffalo shrimp used to be better, but is still available. Burger and fries are doable. The live entertainment is a great treat. Just a stair flight away from the boards on 2nd street, it is still one of my go to places.

Wonderful pool, water was really warm. Atmosphere was relaxed and felt very safe and fun. We went after dinner and I'm so glad we did. Never wanted to leave. We were able to watch the sunset from the rooftop pool. Made it feel like a wonderful summer night. There are people of all races and everyone got along fine. I'm sorry to hear about the problems people have here. It doesn't fully surprise me but then again it does.

I was looking for something off the board walk that wasn't crowded. Popped into here for a drink and to relax for a second. They have a bar area on the roof top. They cook small eats like fried food in the center of the bar.

Drinks were around 7 for mix boat drinks unlike that of 8 bucks or more off the boardwalk.

It's shaded and have comfortable chairs to lounge in.

Stopped in for a late dinner and drinks, saw this place on yelp. Our waitress took our order only to return twenty min later to let us know that the kitchen was closed and even though she submitted it in time they weren't making our food. Then she brings our bill so we can leave and find food and brings the wedding bill, but realizes it after we are charged. Menu is limited and the drinks were average, no idea how its ratings are so good. Crappy experience for us. Shame because the music was awesome.

The review is mostly based off boyfriend's experience. I don't drink so it's based of him. He was happy with service provided. It was quick and effective. Drinks were on point and cheap. He got a couple of beers and he got me a "virgin pina colada". He knows me so well and that I love smoothies so he got me a drink that looked like a smoothie with the whip cream on top. I knew he was lying when he said it had no alcohol but it looked soooo good I gave it a try. On a hot Saturday afternoon that drink was the boom. He also liked it. We stayed at the plim plaza hotel so it

Stopped by for Drinks at the bar--
Crowd was very relaxed and they also had live entertainment.

Frozen drinks were amazing! The banana cabana is superb. It's made with a fresh REAL banana, not banana flavored liquor.

I didn't order food but by the looks of it, all the other patrons devoured theirs.

Loved it- great place to relax and have a drink in the sun.

FYI- they have a pool and a poolside bar.

When choosing a place for lunch I chose the Caribbean Pool Bar based on the description in the magazine in the hotel. Much to my disappointment this is NOT what I was looking for.
There's nothing caribbean about this place. Soft rock is playing and the ambiance is NOT caribbean. My drink is good and the cheesesteak is alright. Guess next time I'll just go back to the actual CARIBBEAN for what I'm looking for.

Likes:

- Live band everyday
- Fully outside restaurant with patio covering
- MASSIVE POOL on the rooftop open to everyone
- Tons of space for people to enjoy themselves here
- My cheesesteak sandwich I ordered was good
- Drink menu is OMG delish... I am talking to you Pina Colada
- Merely steps from the beach

Dislikes:

- Sandwiches are pretty much the only thing on the menu with the exception of a couple of salads. I would like to see more (seafood) entree options applicable to the name of the restaurant.

- Service was spotty. She was nice, but for a party of 6, we should have saw you more

I go to Ocean City MD every year on vacation. I'm at this pool bar on 2nd street at least 2-3 times during my annual vacation. Read below why its so great!

Atmosphere & Entertainment: So relaxing and chillin' out, they usually have a live band playing reggae music or Jimmy Buffet on the pool deck. The pool itself is huge, and open to all patrons, even if you aren't a tenant staying at the Plim Plaza. There's plenty of lounge chairs around the pool, and tons of seating around the pool deck near the stage to listen to music while you eat & drink. Even the wrap-around
