My name is John Lasswell and I am the owner and Chief Inspector of Lasswell Home Inspection, LLC. I provide home inspections and related service to clients in the greater Seattle area. My goal is to provide each client with a thorough unbiased inspection and detailed report of the conditions of the home with descriptions of any problems found.
My father was a general contractor and I grew up on the job site and am no stranger to the business end of a hammer. I attended the University of Washington graduating with a degree in business administration. While I had plenty of construction experience I needed additional training before I was ready to start inspecting houses.

Services
I perform all home inspections in accordance with the Washington State Standards for Home Inspection. At the completion of the inspection I will discuss with you the overall condition of the house. If there are any major problems or safety issues I will explain the causes, if evident, and what actions should be taken to correct the problems.

Upon completion of my inspection I will provide you a report as to the condition of the home, along with a letter summarizing any problems found. You will find my reports very detailed with complete description of any problems yet easy to read. Whenever possible I take digital photographs of problems areas so you can see exactly what I am reporting.

John was recommended to me by a family member for my first home inspection back in 2010. John is extremely thorough inspector that is a truly a pleasure to work with. He produces very detailed reports, goes through the house from top to bottom and in the process has identified many potential (and existing, but non-visible problems) that has saved me tons in repair costs in the long run. John is very knowledgeable about anything in the house as mentioned by the other reviewers. He also came back to reinspect the repairs he suggested on a house to ensure they were properly done with no additional fee. Very impressed, best money I ever spent.
