La Cashina (Cascina) translated in Italian means "the farmhouse" and within the kitchen of that farmhouse is where the foundation of the restaurant's authentic Italian cuisine all began. Frank and Marie Chilelli came to America from southern Italy and brought with them many of the traditional recipes that can be seen on their menu today.
Together with their son Domenick and his wife Diana, they have successfully owned many Italian restaurants throughout the New York and New Jersey area for over forty years. The Chilelli family's passion for creating a truly memorable dining experience led them to acquire a building at 53 State Highway 34 Marlboro, New Jersey in 1994.

Great food and service. We had get together for my son, he just just graduated from culinary school!
The servers were attentive, as well as the Owner/Mgr. As the servers did their thing, she went behind them and made sure. Very nice and professional. Being in the biz for many years I appreciate it.
So in closing go and support these people! They are local, hard working and understand great food and service = great experience!

We needed a restaurant for a repast we had for my brother in law. We chose this restaurant after seeing it on line and then visiting for lunch. Lunch was delicious and it was very welcoming. It was a no brainer choosing this place. We expected 50 people. That changed to 60 and they put together more tables. Then the number shrank as people didn't stay for the dinner. They were SO flexible and kind. Not easy with a large group of emotional people. The food was AMAZING! What a great restaurant! 12 of us celebrated my brother's retirement with a delicious dinner here! The service was impeccable and the food was excellent. We all had enough to bring leftovers home. It is a BYOB which is a plus as well. They made a homemade tiramisu cake to die for as well. I highly recommend and, since it was that good, we will be returning this Saturday again!

We just moved into the area and stumbled upon this gem on a night of not wanting to cook and wow we were blown away! Such a delicious food and great calming environment. We loved it and so did our 4 year old daughter! Can’t wait to share this little piece of heaven with our family over a little Valentine’s Day dinner today! Thank you for such great service and food!

As this ristorante is near Holmdel Cemetery and the son of the deceased lives in the vicinity, we chose this location for a post-funeral meal (from about 1 to 330 pm on a Friday). We chose the repast package for $21.95 per person plus tax and 20% gratuity. We brought several bottles of wine for the 20 adults. One can add antipasto, cookies, pastries, etc.
Included in our meals were: Italian bread and butter, penne marinara, salad, coffee, and choice of three entrees - Eggplant Rollatini, Chicken Parmigiana, or Veal Marsala. We had several orders of each entree and everyone enjoyed their meals

This is a wonderful Italian restaurant for the whole family. My family and I have been enjoying the food, service, and atmosphere here for years. Best Italian restaurant in the area. The calamari is my favorite. It is family owned and they go out of there way to get to know you. I am delighted by the menu that changes throughout the year. I've had graduations here, I've catered from here, ordered out and dined in. All are fabulous and consistent. On top of that you can bring your favorite beverage as well. Doesn't get better

My family (party of 11) came here for Mother's Day lunch. I didn't know what to expect, and I think a lot of people would pass right by here on Route 34 without even noticing the place. My advice to you: don't do that. Head on in for some fantastic Italian.
From the second we walked in, everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server Gina was probably one of the best I've ever had. We just moved to the area from Staten Italy and ate at La Cashina for the first time tonight! The food was to die for. The muscles, fried calamari, chicken parmigiana, penne vodka, and other entrees were delicious and cooked al dente. The portions were huge! Our waitress was an absolute doll and all other staff were welcoming and polite. It's our new favorite place in the neighborhood!

I dined her on Sunday, and I'm so happy did! I passed by it so many times, and always was hesitant because I'm a picture person. On yelp there are only a few pictures posted of the meals here so I wasn't sure how the food was going to be. I'm glad I took a chance, and I also captured some great pictures of the wonderful food I ate here. I started with the eggplant stuffed with seafood risotto in a cream sauce. I'm not kidding when I tell you, but that's one of the most delicious appetizers I ever had! The cream sauce was so delicious, and it was nice and cheesy

Can't believe I've never reviewed this place! The food here is completely legit. We always order the eggplant appetizer (the one that's always on the menu, not the "special"), with the marinara sauce. The red sauce is so, so good here, the cheese is nice, and the dish is cooked perfectly. This appetizer is divine.

I made the mistake of coming here based on the yelp reviews. I arrived late on a Saturday night and it was quite packed (so packed I was only able to open the second door to the enter the restaurant but not fully step inside). My wait was a little long because the hostess was not paying attention to the line and ended up seating 3 other tables of the same size before me, despite them getting there after me. We ended up sitting in the corner
