This new pizza place is the best! The owner and staff are amazing! They are hospitable and treat you with respect.
Their pizza, heros, sandwiches, entrees, and paninis are fantastic! My family and I have eaten here and do take out all the time. Trust me once you go to Amano Pizza, you'll be back for more! It's Legit!

My go to place for the last few months - always great food always great service.
The Margherita Panini (grilled chicken, fresh mozz, roasted red peppers and balsamic, on fresh homemade bread) is the hidden gem on the menu!
When ordering a pie, always order the x-large -18" you get 25% more pie for like 8-11% more money - that's a great value!

The food is really good but I don’t understand how it takes an hour to make and delivery a small Cesar salad with chicken and 4 garlic knots. It was later than the anticipated delivery time and I won’t have time to eat and now and everything will be soggy. Apparently you should try ordering at least 1.5 hours before your scheduled lunch.

I just ordered take out from Amano pizza. There pizza was fresh and very tasty. The wings were also really good. We ordered a chicken parm pizza and chicken franchise pizza they were both Great choices. Can't wait try another style. Def recommend to give them try.
I am happy it is new to the area.

Highly recommend!!! We tried many of the dishes including chicken parm (which has so much cheese), salads (love the Greek with grilled chicken), garlic knots and the HoneyRoni both ways (round and square) and tonight we tried the family calzone and it was awesome! Customer service is great! Love the rewards program AND food is delicious! Do you need any other reason to try Amano's? Do it!!!

Love the plain pie. The salad with the balsamic vinaigrette is awesome. But the cheesesteaks are the best in the area. Loaded with fresh tasting meat and tasty bread and cheese of your choice. What I really love, is that the hot sub came loosely wrapped in foil in a perfectly sized sandwich box. The bread was not steamed when I got it home which I was amazed at. Our new spot.

I like trying new places and giving them a shot, so I've tried this place twice based on positive reviews. First time, the pizza was good (vodka sauce pizza was excellent), but was 20 minutes delayed past the 45 minute expected time. The second time was the perfect storm of bad experience: pizza was bad (crust was like stale toast, no chew whatsoever), was 45 minutes delayed past the 30 minute expected time, and the guy in the shop was nasty and unfriendly. I ordered the pizza at 7PM, and it should have been done about 730. I came in at 730 and was told it was just put in the oven, so

This is amongst the worst Italian food i've ever eaten and that's not being dramatic. I understand it's a new location and trying to operate during a global pandemic but honestly neither of those factors should affect both the quality and preparation of the food. Let's start with the appetizer, a fairly common Italian cuisine staple, fried calamari. Simply put, it was inedible. The breading was saturated and soggy while the actual calamari was tough and rubbery which tells me it was not freshly prepared but "prepped" in advance and microwaved which I could accomplish

My wife and I just ordered a whole philly cheesesteak. We concluded that this was among the worst cheesesteaks ever served. I gave it two stars only for the bread and the friendliness of the staff. The meat was chopped and each of us found a piece of grizzle inside. The mozzarella cheese was laid across the outer edge of the bread and although it looked nice, we expect the cheese to be intermingled within the steak pieces or laid across the steak. Lastly, the peppers and onions were chopped up into 1/2 inch cubes like it was to be served to infants. Not good.

This place is amazing. Came across this after a long walk from Henry Hudson trail. Newly renovated. Decided to to walk in and try a hot sub- Chicken Milanese! The staff is great and very willing to please. The chicken Milanese sub is by far the best in matawan!!! This place is a gold mine. Will be a regular from now on. Hope they can start delivering right across to Preserve Matawan. If you like subs, TRY THIS PLACE!!!!
