Understanding the objectives and concerns of our clients is a cornerstone of our business and allows Applied Geotechnical Engineering Consultants, Inc. (AGEC) to tailor our services to meet project requirements. Our quest for constant improvement and built-in quality throughout every project is the driving force behind our organization.

Delivering reliable and cost-effective service to our clients is our ultimate corporate purpose. AGEC professionals focus their expertise on the geotechnical, geologic, and construction-materials testing aspects of constructed facilities and the environment. We apply engineering and geologic principles with professional judgment, backed by field investigations and laboratory testing.
Services
Applied Geotechnical Engineering Consultants, Inc. (AGEC) was established in 1990 to deliver reliable, full-service, geotechnical and geologic engineering consultation, construction-material testing and observation, special inspections, laboratory testing services, environmental site assessments and septic system design/percolation testing.
We have established ourself as one of the leading geotechnical engineering firms in the State of Utah. Due to AGEC's continuing growth, we are frequently in need of experienced field and laboratory technicians and engineers at our Sandy and St. George, Utah offices, however AGEC does not have any current openings.
The AGEC Engineering Services Group delivers efficient, reliable, and timely consultation services to our clients. Project Engineers are designated by the Engineering Services Group leader to manage each project from initial client contact through final report delivery.

After receipt of a notice-to-proceed, the Project Engineer, selected to provide each project with the best combination of capabilities and experience to address project requirements, coordinates all project activities and completes engineering analysis throughout the course of the project.Field investigations will be scheduled as required.
AGEC is committed to provide timely and reliable construction-materials observation, testing, and inspection services. Our organization goes beyond the typical "testing" and "inspection" by providing engineering support for technical questions that may arise during construction. This support assists in maintaining control of cost and quality of construction.
AGEC conducts geotechnical engineering investigations for proposed and existing structures in areas of potential earthquake hazard.

AGEC seismic engineering services include estimations of probable maximum credible earthquake (MCE) and operating basis earthquake (OBE) forces, estimation of earthquake loads in UBC Seismic Zones III and IV under MCE, OBE, and design earthquake conditions, geologic fault hazard investigations, liquefaction potential studies, deformation and slope stability analyses (static, pseudostatic, and dynamic), geophysical surveys (measurements of in-situ shear wave velocities), and determinations of site-specific response spectra.
