Services
Our practice began as Case Veterinary Hospital in 1923 at its present location, which was on the Thunderbolt car line with a stop at Ash Street, the city limit at the time. In 1982, Dr. Marlay purchased the practice and it became known as Eastside Veterinary Hospital. The hospital is one of the oldest continually operated family-owned veterinary practices in the United States.
Please be aware that many of our products are medications that are require a prescription. In order for us to authorize these items, the state of Georgia requires a Veterinary-Client-Patient-Relationship(VCPR). Eastside Veterinary Hospital cannot sell a prescription item unless we have a medical record on your pet and have seen the pet within the last year.
At Eastside, we offer boarding for both cats and dogs. Our facilities include a courtyard with runs equipped with shaded rest platforms where dogs stay during the day, weather permitting. When we are out of the office, dogs stay in a climate controlled kennel building. Boarders are required to be up to date on all vaccinations and we do not accept unneutered male dogs.

I am only in Savannah for the winter each year. My cat has an ongoing health issue that flared up. I sent the vet a report from her specialist. I was very impressed that the vet had reviewed it and was very familiar with my cat's issue. She did a thorough exam and explained things well. She made some helpful suggestions. Everyone in the office was friendly and helpful.

We were in Savannah for a short trip with our two terriers when the 3-year old girl exhibited signs of an acute ear infection the first night of our visit. Staff was able to work us in the next morning when we called, and provided prompt, friendly service and very thorough exam and treatment that alleviated the problem, so the pups and we could enjoy the rest of our stay. Our thanks for the great service and compassion that all the staff and Dr Becker showed us, and for treating us just like family!

My pet has been a Eastside Vet patient since his first check up after we got him. They are extremely patient and compassionate and you can tell that they love your pets as much as you do. My guy is always nervous at the vet and gets squirmy. The Vet and vet techs break out the treats and calm him down enough for them to be able to administer the vaccines and give him a physical exam. They never make me feel like a bad pet mom or him feel like a bad boy. I’ve also used them for the inevitable “emergency” and they’ve been responsive and dependable. We also board with them and my pup always

Dr. Becker is wonderful!: compassionate, so on top of her professional game & warm...to furry ones, as well as their people. Logan is a godsend of a tech/assistant, perfect in people & critter skills...actually, the entire staff works hard to make this relatively small hospital stay on track in a most patient & courteous fashion. Highly recommend!

Amazing! We have a cat that started marking her territory Inside our home after 5 years. I tried everything. If her behavior didn't stop, the end result would be re-homing our beloved cat. Dr. Becker had researched and tested and tried different methods trying to resolve this issue. SHE DID!!! Dr. Becker never gave up trying and I can never thank her enough! Junipurr has stopped marking and is so happy and back to her normal self. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
