Dr. Holly Metts, a native to Savannah Georgia, is the veterinarian/owner of Forsyth Park Animal Hospital. She joined us in December of 2016 and has always known she has wanted to work with animals. The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) sets the standard for quality veterinary care for companion animals.
As an accredited hospital, we voluntarily uphold the Association's high standards in 18 different areas and are routinely evaluated on over 900 different standards of veterinary care. Not all animal hospitals are accredited, and we are proud to be amongst only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals that hold this honor.

Services
Forsyth Park Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital staffed with caring professionals who are looking forward to meeting all your pet's healthcare needs. We offer vaccinations, general health care for newborn to geriatric pets, dentistry, general surgery, emergency care, nutritional education and more!
Lisa is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. Lisa has known ever since she was six years old that she wanted to work with animals. She became a veterinary assistant at the age of sixteen. Marriage in 1999 took her to Louisiana, where she worked for Louisiana State University, New Orleans as a surgical technician in the Department of Animal Care until the start of 2006.
Our wellness and vaccination programs are designed to prevent disease and prolong the lives of your companion animals. Disease prevention is always less costly than dealing with the treatment of a disease once symptoms are present. For example, parvovirus treatment can frequently cost $1,000 or more while a single parvovirus vaccination will usually cost less than $80.
Our puppy wellness program is designed to offer your new puppy all the benefits of veterinary services available to him / or her from 6 weeks of age to 16 weeks of age. Included in this service is a series of examinations and vaccinations including rabies, distemper, parvovirus, etc. In addition, your puppy will be tested for worms and be treated for the most common intestinal worm of puppies - roundworms.
Our knowledgeable staff and our facilities allow us to deal with a variety of medical conditions your pet may experience. We hope we do not have to see you or your pet for an emergency but if we do, we are equipped to handle the situation. In some cases, your pet may require hospitalization and further diagnostic tests.

Had to put our Lab to sleep today and the entire staff including Dr Metts were wonderful. I have had to go through this with 4 other dogs in my life and they made this experience so much better than expected. We will never use any other veterinarian besides Dr Metts. Thank you again to her entire staff.

I don't feel like going into much detail, as I am heartbroken because my kitty is hurting the most from my experience here. I brought my kitty in, suspecting he had seriously hurt his leg. There were no appointments available, so we had to do a drop off. That was fine. The main problem is, they said they had contacted some orthopedic surgeons and had not heard back from them yet. However, they were very insistent about doing pre-op work on my kitty even though FPAH doesn't perform the type of surgery he needed.
I waited a whole day to hear news about potential surgery, we even called them. They

Dr. Metts and the staff at FPAH have been hands down the most positive experience we could have asked for. From 8 weeks old, Dr. Metts and team has provided Gus with the best care under any circumstance and has fully provided us with all information on costs/procedures possible. We really appreciate the positive atmosphere from all of the employees and I know they genuinely care about Gus.

Dr. Metts is very thorough, even with simple check-ups or common ailments. She also has a great kennel-side manner and puts both owners and pets at ease with genuine concern for their wellbeing. Additionally, the staff is responsive, kind, and competent. I've been to many vets in many cities, and this is the only one for which I've felt compelled to write a review.

Update: This one star review IS NOT for the visiting dentist Dr. Charra—she’s actually very awesome. It’s for Dr. Metts—Forsyth Park Animal Hospital’s vet/owner.
She acted more like a drug dealer instead of a vet that cares about your animal. (Just read all the negative reviews, which show a pattern of her behaviors and matched exactly what I experienced. All her responses to negative reviews are super defensive too--she's always right in making as much money as possible off your pet, and you're always wrong to question her, even if your doubt/question may be absolutely legitimate.)

Dr. Metts, Lisa, Tuesday, and Tess have been the greatest vet staff. They helped me say goodbye to one, and have ensured my next 3 have had the best of care. Through FootGate 2018, iPhone chargers and everything in between, I know Freedom, Brave; and Honor will get the best of care. I know all my questions will be answered and payment options are always discussed. They truly have your pet’s best interest in mind, as well as yours.

We found a kitten on the streets and we called them for advice on what to do. After they were so kind over the phone we decided to show up and see if they could take him for a general check up. And even though we didn't have an appointment they were super friendly and said they could squeeze us in. We were visiting from Atlanta so we waited for a few hours at the beach after dropping him off. They kept us updated and even stayed open an extra hour until they were able to see him and we were able to pick him up. We expected to pay a huge amount since it was so last minue, but they were super affordable

Dr. Metts and her staff are very caring and attentive. They really care about the health and well-being of my pet and go above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. I like how they give you a run down of all procedures/vaccines etc ahead of time in case you have any questions or concerns about them or their costs. Very happy client!
