The best beauty care and hair cut I have had in a long time. My stylist checks in with me following my appointments to see how my cut is working out for me. A separate stylist gave me a blow out that was exactly what I wanted. This is an actual spa experience tailored to your desires. My stylist consulted with me extensively before moving forward on a major change.
Philosophi is located in the eclectic Clintonville area, and offers a gluten-sensitive environment. We thrive on feedback and want to keep in contact with our guests. Many sources suggest that other than lipstick and hand lotion (which may be ingested), there is no need to avoid gluten in personal care products. Some staff and clients, though, claim to have different experiences. One employee who is sensitive to gluten in her food finds that gluten-containing products give her a skin rash.
Aerial began her education at Aveda over 5 years ago and prefers perfection over speed & enjoys doing a variety of styles. Behind the chair you'll find her playing around with different balayage techniques & fantasy colors; along with clipper cuts, beard trims & more. Aerial wants to make your hair dreams come true.

Bailey is a phenomenal stylist. I just need to be more brave. She really cares about her artwork and works with you. I've been to stylists that, ironically, didn't want to really cut or style longer hair. Other stylists seemed to only care about how my hair looked from the back. She's incredibly patient and kind. I'll book with her again (which I NEVER do) and end up with an incredible transformation at some point!

Skylar was amazing and completely surprised me with her recommendations. After learning I would be traveling to Vegas soon, she said I should wait on coloring it so it wouldn't fade in the sun. We also had a long conversation where I discovered the conditioners I was using were too heavy. I was doing too much for my type of hair.
She gave me so much layering and body, while lightening

I came in needing to add some life back into my hair. I had highlights done here and there at other places but I wanted to dip into balayage. I'm always nervous to go to a new salon. After doing a ton of research to find a great place, I found Philosophi. I wanted to find a place that had great customer experiences, a relaxed vibe and clean(ish) hair products. Awesome experience. Very open to feedback, professional and charismatic. Matched hair perfectly which is not easy with my hair. Stylists were not overwhelmed with my curly thick hair and knew who to treat it. I have been looking for a new salon for a year now and am very great full to find this gem.

I fell in LOVE with this salon the moment I walked in. Not only is the vibe so down to earth and aesthetically pleasing but Alexa took the time to contact me before my appointment to touch base and she greeted me with an open smile!
She took so much time explaining the process with my hair and was so detailed in the pricing. In the end she was able to give me EXACTLY what I wanted AND more. I highly recommend booking with Alexa if you can!

Scheduled an updo for a wedding I was in. Tuny texted me ahead of time to ask for ideas and preferences and my final result looked even better than the photos I had sent. Plus, I have very straight Asian hair that NEVER holds curl, and my hair held up for 6 hours of pictures and throughout the wedding!

If I could give a sixth star, I would. Gavin, you rocked my world. My blonde balayage is the best i've ever had. You are like the long lost soulmate hair stylist best friend i've been searching for for years. The staff was so warm and friendly, the music was perfect, care was superb, and talent is through the roof. He took his time, did exactly what I wanted, and got me out fast for a date!
