Redmond Parent Cooperative Preschool
We have returned to a full in-person learning model with appropriate safety protocols in place. We know from experience that preschoolers learn best when they are able to socialize, play and learn in a (sanitized) hands-on environment. The safety of our families and teachers is the utmost priority when we return in the Fall and the we will continue to adapt our program to meet the needs of our preschool families with this in mind.

With a play-based learning philosophy, we offer morning and afternoon classes for 3-5 year-olds. Meet Ms. Talia and Ms. Julie, our amazing teachers. With twenty years of experience in childhood education between them, students get the most out of their preschool experience. Redmond Cooperative Preschool was the perfect start to my daughter's education.
Services
Redmond Parent Cooperative Preschool's mission is to foster the development of a strong family unit by involving parents in the early education of their children and in their own education as parents. RPCP is a cooperative Parent Education Program, affiliated with Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech).
Parents make it work! Redmond Parent Cooperative Preschool is a cooperative parent education program affiliated with the Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech). The participating care giver will earn 6 credits from Lake Washington Institute of Technology for the school year. Our goal is to supply you with relevant and useful parenting information, while at the same time providing a nurturing environment for your child to grow and learn.
RPCP is run by a Board of Trustees. The Board consists of ten executive Board members and a Parent Leader from each class. All positions are voluntary and held by members of the cooperative. A copy of the RPCP Standing Rules and Bylaws can be found in the RPCP Handbook for your review. The Board generally meets the 3rd Monday of each month at the school.
Play-based education has been formally defined as a natural and meaningful process where young children build knowledge and life-long learning skills in a manner that is developmentally appropriate. A strong play-based model provides a balance between child-led and teacher-supported learning. Routine is an important aspect of this learning model, as is having an opportunity for the child to play for extended periods of time.
My kids LOVE this school! I have 2 kids with autism, and 1 typically-developing, and all 3 of them love to go to school. It's all they talk about all week! Miss Karen (the 3's teacher) has been so loving, kind, fun, and gentle with them, and you can see her devotion to the kids in everything she does!

The worst...
I heard lots of good reviews about coop preschools and am sending them mails right from august. The registrar simply did not bother to respond to any of my mails. I called them umpteen times and every parent who was volunteering that day told me they would leave a note to the registrar and it still has to happen.
Anyway i put my kid in kirkland coop which is wonderful and provides a caring and a nurturing environment..
Dont bother with this school
