Learning should be fun. Play-based education fosters positive attitudes about learning and launches your child's educational path the right way. Little Folks offers both an outdoor playground and a full-size gym in which to play and exercise no matter the weather. We have been a Little Folks family since our son was 2.5, he's now 8 and attends Wednesday aftercare and our daughter is in the 3's class.
I am a teacher myself so I feel like I'm pretty picky about childcare and education. Little folks has a wonderful Christian base, they teach about caring for others and friendship while allowing to kids to explore, play, create art and learn in a fun environment. Teachers are especially loving, flexible with kids depending on personality, and really get to know your children.

Children learn through play as they interact with the world around them. Our classes allow children to explore their world and God's creation through hands-on activities including sensory play, art, manipulatives for fine motor development, dramatic play, and more. That the amount of a substance remains the same, even when the shape changes, a science skill.
It is a quality rating and improvement system to ensure we are always learning and providing the best program we can. Little Folks School is enrolled in Washington State's Early Achievers program. As a licensed childcare center of Washington State we follow the state requirements. These requirements include health, safety, staff, cleaning, environment, curriculum and more.
With an emphasis on the whole child, there are ample opportunities for your child to explore God's world through hands-on activities in art, cooking, science, music, language, literacy and math. Learning centers and circle times build upon the a child's natural interest in counting, shapes, colors, textures and how things work.
We provide transportation from your child's school to our facility, where we provide homework time plus hands-on learning in arts, science, building and more. Children will also get fresh air on our outdoor fenced playground or in our full-size indoor gym, depending on weather. Before & After School tuition includes: Wednesday early release, half days, LEAP days, winter break, mid-winter break & spring break.
Our Japanese program teaches the Japanese language in a play-based setting. The teacher actively plays with children to encourage their interests and learning. The program also introduces children to the Japanese culture through art, music & movement, literacy, food, and games. In the Elementary Japanese Program, students will learn language and mathematics in Japanese.

My son has been there since 2.5 years old and has attended his whole preschool here. He was heading to kindergarten in fall 2020 and due to COVID, he continued to stay on to the schools elementary program which the school put together in a short notice to help the remote learners. My daughter also started at 2.5 years at the the playgroup. I am so thankful to have them taking care of my kids. The teachers are unfailingly professional, kind, passionate, communicative and I have full trust in them. I fully recommend Little Folks for the little ones.

My son was enrolled into their youngest room at 2.5 YO and is now graduating to kindergarten at almost 6 YO.
There are many lovely things that I can say about Little Folks School. Here's what meant the most to me:
1) accommodation - my son had a dairy allergy , and they let us bring soy milk and snacks
2) consistency - they communicate clearly with us. Their policies are clear and well implemented. I felt like my kid was safe and the staff handled conflicts well. Add snow storms and power outages to this pandemic, I'd say Little Folks managed about as well as anybody could hoped for

Here is something you need to know about Little Folks. Something that isn't mentioned once one their entire website, but is apparently a core tenant of their approach to educating children.
They are a Christian School.
We had exchanged a handful of emails and scheduled a tour with them before a long string of random google searches revealed a hiring page for the school that mentioned their religious affiliation. We contacted them immediately for clarification, and in their response they listed out fundamental activities and structured beliefs that, again, are NOT POSTED ANYWHERE ON THEIR

I have had three kids participate in Kinder Prep at Little Folks School and each of them have had wonderful experiences and learned so much. The teachers are very loving and make each child feel special. They do a wonderful job balancing playing with academic activities. There is a nice outside play area and a huge gym where the kids get to play and get wiggles out on the many rainy days we have. The curriculum is fun and educational for the kids and the school also incorporates field trips that are applicable to what the kids are learning. I am grateful to have found this school and plan on sending

I am a former employee of Little Folks School. I worked for the preschool for just over two years. My primary role was to help manage the office but I did spend time in each of the classes and had the opportunity to get to know all of the ins and outs of the LFS program.
I have worked in a variety of childcare centers. I had decided before I had started at LFS that I would never place my own child in a childcare center of any kind. I had been apart of many great programs, however, I felt that my child would never receive individualized care and attention if they were in a group facility. Little

My daughter was enrolled in Little Folks from preschool to Elementary school (after school care). This was during a stressful time for our family, when my son was ill with a severe illness. The staff was loving and nurturing to her when she needed a safe and stable place to be away from home. If you want a place that is more than a school and full of love, Little Folks is a great childcare facility that fits that description.

I really want to give negative score if there is such option. This place is a disaster. If you send your kid to here, probably he/she won't die, that's the only thing you get. If your kid can survive here, he/she can survive in any place. The teachers won't teach anything, (I am actually fine with this, they are kids anyway). They don't take care of them at all. There is a big indoor gym, and they just put all kids from different ages in there. Accidents happen all the time, the teacher may or may not give you an incident report. and all the witness are kids! Last but not least, the director sucks

My daughter attended Little Folks School last year with Ms. Laura & Ms. Ashlie in the Kinder-Prep Class. This was her first experience in a classroom setting & I was little nervous on how she would adjust. When she came home everyday, excited with all the fun she had at school, I knew this school was perfect fit for her 😊 On top of having great classroom teachers, she also loved the rest of the staff especially, Ms. Jen & Ms. Rachel ❤️ This school & it's staff are a great group of people caring, loving & motivated in creating a great learning environment for all their students.

I give them one star because my daughter really enjoyed the preschool. She also asked me to go on weekends. That's how I know she always had a great time there. Her teachers were kind and gentle, always trying their best.
But my girl attended this place for only 3 months, and she's been bitten 3 times. Let's say, once a month. The first time it was a random kid in the gym area. Then one of his classmates bit her. When this happened, I talked to the teacher and expressed her my concerns, but she told me that it was the first time this has happened, so she couldn't do anything

I agree with the previous reviewer. I chose Little Folks School because of the indoor gym, the large classrooms with windows, the Christian based curriculum and the lower price of tuition.
I started sending my child in September and I withdrew him from the school this month because it just wasn't a good fit. This is not the first time my child had attended daycare. My son had attended Bright Horizons in a different state for a year and a half.
Don't get me wrong, there are things that Little Folks does extremely well. I believe they have a great preschool program. The teachers seem

This has been an amazing place not only for our son, but for our family! As any working mother will tell you leaving you child with someone else is the hardest thing ever! The director Geri is amazing! She has been the director for many many years! The teachers are awesome! Did I mention that some were children there themselves, before they were working there? That right there tells you how wonderful the place is!

I enrolled my 3 years old boy to the full-time class and he was happy everyday. Each time I pick up him, he does want to leave. He likes the lunch and gym very much. The teacher Ms Melinda is professional and experienced. They have a spacious gym for indoor play and playground. I wish I could let my son finish preschool and Pre-K in this school, however my family has to move. I do wish I could find another great school like Little Folks.

Both my children, ages 3 and 5, have been attending LFS for the past year. Our family is new to the area and we feel very fortunate to have found LFS! The teachers are all very caring people and there is a strong focus on building well behaved, well rounded children.
The Kindergarten program was great. It was a very small class and my daughter made great friends and connection with her teachers. We will plan to have my younger son attend LFS from pre-K - Kindergarten as well.
I absolutely love the on-site meals. This makes such a huge difference for busy families. I love the central location

A Loving Environment for Children.
My son has been attending since he was 3 and has grown leaps and bounds intellectually and socially in every class he has been enrolled in. The teachers have challenged him and helped him through hard times and celebrated his successes. He is doing so well in the Kindergarten and we are eager to enroll him in Little Folks' 1st grade class next year.
My daughter enjoyed the 2's class and made many little friends. She is now in the 3's class and asks to go to school even on the weekends. That's a sign of a great school!

I am the pastor of the church here at Redmond. My kids attended the school for a number of years and had a very good experience. The BIG gym is a huge plus particularly on rainy days. The staff were skilled and courteous. The hot meals and lunches provided by the school are nutritious and well balanced. If you are looking for a school that is going to truly care for your child - not just physically but on a deeper level for you and your family then "Little Folks School" is a great choice.
