Faith Lutheran School is located on Education Hill in Redmond, WA. Our goal at Faith is to offer an outstanding preschool experience to children 18 months to 5 years old by providing emotional, social, and educational growth opportunities in a caring, inclusive Christian environment. We offer toddler and preschool programs, as well as a pre-k and transitional kindergarten programs.
In the summer we offer exciting camps where children can explore a variety of topics in a play-based approach that extends their skills for long-term success. Children at our preschool benefit from other enrichment activities such as music and arts, yoga, Spanish, and soccer. Building relationships with families and our local community is a priority here at Faith.

Services
Faith Lutheran School of Redmond was established in 1982 as a Christian education ministry of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of Redmond. Faith was founded in service to the local community, and we remain committed to providing high quality, affordable private education as a true mission to families of many faiths.
Working with children and families is a true passion of mine. You are your child's primary caregiver, and Faith Lutheran preschool teachers feel it is very important to partner with families to provide the best possible outcome for your children. We also understand the value and diversity that each family brings.
Extra-curricular activities offered include kids yoga, beginner Spanish, running club, soccer, music and puppet shows. This school year we have the following countries represented among our students and their families: United states, Algeria, Brazil, China, Columbia, Croatia, Finland, France, Germany, India, Iraq, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Norway, Pakistan, the Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Syria, Turkey, and the UK.
I was drawn to Faith Lutheran School because children are my passion and the values, vision, and mission of Faith strongly align with what I believe in as an early childhood educator. I have my BAS in early childhood education from Lake Washington Institute of Technology, where I focused on guiding behaviors, anti-bias education, inclusive environments, project-based learning, and much more.
The School Board of Faith Lutheran School meets monthly to confer and establish policies to guide the business of the school. 1. Faith Lutheran Church congregation members serving three year terms as voting members. 2. Faith Lutheran School parents serving two year terms as voting members. 3. Faith Lutheran Church Pastor and School Administrators serving in a non-voting advisory capacity.

The daily activities are meticulously designed to engage the kids and encourage learning. The staff is attentive to the progress of each kid. The teachers and director of the school are very courteous and open for discussion.
The communication from the school is prompt. The diversity is celebrated in the school as they celebrate all the festivals.
My kid loves his teachers and looks forward to go to school every morning.

Our son has been at FLS for a year and we enrolled him for next year as well.
We have had a truly great experience here. As a school, they do a phenomenal job of providing exceptionally balanced curriculum, which is very hard to find. Academics, structured play, free play, and social emotional development are all build into the day.
FLS is the 3rd school our son has attended and he has truly blossomed here. The teachers do an amazing job of tailoring the education to each child so they are provided with more challenges where they have aptitude, and support where there are opportunities for growth

Our daughter attended Faith for several years starting in the toddler group and finishing in K-prep. We initially struggled to find a pre-school on the Eastside that met our expectations, but once we visited Faith, we knew it was the right fit for us.
Faith has a family-like, warm atmosphere and Faith’s Director and teachers are caring, approachable, fun-loving and clearly gifted at what they do. The teacher turnover rate is very low, which is usually a good sign and telling of the school’s positive atmosphere.

Faith Lutheran is a hidden gem on the eastside. When we began a preschool search for our daughter we were delighted to find a drop-off program for two year-olds in our neighborhood. The toddler teachers were a perfect match for our daughter and we couldn't have asked for a better first year of school for our family. She has continued to grow and thrive in her second year and we are so grateful to all of the staff for their continued care, sensitivity to our needs, and the warm welcome we have received into this wonderful community they have built.

This is a gem in Redmond.
The director/staff are extremely professional.
My 4 years old boy loves the school and the teachers.
The teachers are amazing, they develop positive relationships with parents based on trust and open communication. They are all wonderful and legitimately love their job and their students. The curriculum is great, what makes my son academically and emotionally more than prepared for public school.
Because of that and much more, that my 18 months daughter will start in September at FLS.

Faith Lutheran School has been an incredible experience for my 2-year-old daughter. I can tell that her teachers and the entire school staff care deeply about all aspects of her development (physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, etc.), and they meet each child where they are at. I've been especially impressed with how the curriculum is tailored to the interests of the kids, rather than being set in stone by the teachers. For example, the kids were comparing how tall they were compared to each other, so the teachers arranged an entire unit about different types of measurement

I've had the pleasure of working with Faith with their preschool and elementary program for 14 years, ever since my youngest son attended there. Two of my grandchildren and a nephew have also attended. Teachers and staff are friendly and well-educated, it's a very well rounded program for every age group I've been involved in. They focus on values/virtues as well as education and I can say that it's a very positive experience.

My kids' pediatrician mentioned FLS when I told her my then 2.5-year-old and 4.5-year-old were not enjoying their daycare and preschool. I went to FLS during their open house. The teachers, director, and principal were very, very nice...despite two very pissed-off kids I was lugging around. I didn't sign up right away because 1) I couldn't afford both kids' tuition, 2) my kids were already pissed off and simply did not care, 3) I was skeptical of their nice'ness, and 4) I didn't want to be responsible for tuition if I had to withdraw -- there's are guidelines

All three of our children have attended Faith Lutheran's preschool program. We can't say enough good things about it. First of all, the staff. They definitely make each individual child a priority based on their individual strengths. The teachers and Early Childhood Director have very open communication and truly show a genuine concern for your child. They will give you tips on areas of improvement but also celebrate your child's strengths. Our older two children were more than prepared for elementary school and have continued to excel due to the great start at Faith. The teachers have done an

Our experience in the FLS Preschool was horrible. The Director overreaches her title by acting as a childhood development specialist, far exceeding her expertise. Class descriptions can change midyear, and she can choose at whim to do daily “assessments” on any child she sees fit. We were told our child was developmentally behind, potentially disabled, and that he should be put back in the class with younger children or given a 1:1 aide. We took the paperwork to our pediatrician/childhood development specialist, both Dr's encouraged us to pull our son from the school. The Director was unprofessional

I really like the School and the teachers of the class. The only thing i would ask for is to have all the 2's, 3's and 4's with in a proper building so that they would have more space as a classroom.
The communication with teachers and parents is really nice.
Thanks Faith Lutheran for being there for my kid.

Fantastic school, wonderful staff! Both of my children have attended Faith Lutheran school of Redmond and loved it. The kids are allowed to work at their own level- especially great in elementary school! The kids are never bored as they are always challenged with work at their level, not what the grade level is currently doing. People are kind, and you feel like you've left your child with family. Tuition is reasonable. I cannot say enough about Faith! Go check it out no matter what your religion, they are not teaching Lutheran doctrine, just good moral values.
