Beyond our typical cut and color services, we offer specialty hair services which suit the needs of special hair types and high-end celebrity looks. Several of our staff are highly trained in areas of specialty curl cutting, precision cutting, texture maintenance services, and hair extension services.
We offer makeup applications for all your special occasions! Whether it's a Friday night out on the town, or the most important day of your life - you can count on us to help you feel like a celebrity with a makeup look that will last all day and night! Katie Astoria and the Modern Muse Beauty Team are available for both in-salon and on location services within the Greater Austin area. If your wedding or event is outside the Greater Austin Area, travel fees may apply. Please inquire about pricing for travel. The Modern Muse Beauty Team can service your wedding party, no matter how large or small.

Maddie is a visionary! I play fast and loose with my hair - it grows back so I’m not afraid of a cut I’m not in love with. I had a basic idea and showed Maddie some pictures, but also told her I wanted to go with what she thought would look best. My experience was nothing less than amazing. I’m a stickler for 5 star ratings because usually there’s something that can be improved upon, but I truly have nothing negative to say. Everyone at Modern Muse was so friendly and easy to be around. 10/10 recommend and will be back! My hair turned out great! Appointment was May 7th, and I’m still just as happy with my hair as can be. Editing to add that I saw Holly! Loved her! She nailed my perfect version of refreshed blond while not getting too bright or bronzy. Big win!

Maddie came recommended by my hair stylist and I am so ecstatic that I went with her! She did an incredible job on my hair and makeup and got my look exactly on-point. She also nailed my electric blue, wing tip eyeliner and it turned out AMAZING in photos. My big, blue side braid turned out just as I'd envisioned it. I felt like total diva the whole night and couldn't have been happier. Exceptional work!
