Helena Aguirre has been a hair stylist and make-up artist in San Diego Old Town for over 15 years. Helena's passion is to ensure her clients leave the salon feeling and looking their best. One reason Helena's clients continue to be loyal customers, is because of her commitment to educating them on how they can recreate their hair style on their own after leaving the salon.
A non-refundable deposit of $50 is due upon acceptance of contract, in order to secure your wedding date and time. Upon cancellation by client, this non-refundable fee is payable to Helena Aguirre. The remaining balance must be paid in full on the wedding day or the total amount can be paid prior to the wedding.

Helena worked a true miracle! She was really tuned into what I needed, walked me through every part of the appointment, and she taught me how to use products/style my new cut. I left feeling like a new person! It's also amazing to see how passionate she is about her work - I'm confident the care she took during our appointment would be the same tailored experience for any of her clients.

Each visit she asks how I have liked the most recent cut. With four cowlicks, my hair is no easy event. And, as we have watched the color fade from the mane, she has witnessed those moments when you realize that a change has come that will not be reversed.
She is practical. Willing to color or trim, help you stay current or keep you comfortable. As she will remind you, She "is a beautician not a magician!" Yet, her attention to your details certainly

Helena took a hot mess mama to some sort of JLo wannabe bombshell. Lol. In my dreams but still. I had an appointment today and I was a little nervous. I always am when I get anything done to my hair. It's long, frizzy, curly and all kinds of ridiculous. Helena took matters into her own hands and made me feel like a brand new woman. She did my color, a smoothing treatment which made my hair super silky, shiny and smooth. She cut a few inches off, added some layers and a little bang. I have been feeling a bit off for a couple weeks and she literally made me feel (and look) so much better.

I absolutely love my hair. I was anxious about cutting off my hair but Helena made the experience great. She was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. The best part has and always will be the shampoo and scalp massage. She taught me quick techniques to style my low maintenance hair. By far the best! Thank you.

Helena is absolutely amazing. She takes your whole personality into consideration when helping make decisions about your style. I trust her to take my plain Jane hair and make it gorgeous. Such a boost for my confidence. Not to mention she is just a nice person while you're in her chair. No pushy up sales or product recommendations unless you ask for them. Won't go anywhere else ever again.

I better love her, because she has been cutting and styling my hair since 2005 when she did my wedding hair.
Helena has excellent customer service and has been consistent with this as well as her skills with my hair for over 12 years. She is very personable and friendly!
The Suriya Salon where she runs her business has a good vibe, and it provides a nice opportunity for a local to make a visit to Old Town.
As with any hair stylist, if you are new to her, it is good to bring some inspiration pictures to communicate what you are looking for.

Helena is awesome. She is very good at giving me updated hairstyle looks. She's a pro at color. I always walk out feeling like a million bucks. Love the head massages. She's also done my make up and love the way it turned out. She's even good at giving tips on how to style my hair and use the brush properly.

Helena and Larissa are amazing! The appointment starts with an incredible head massage to relax you and ends with beautiful hair! Helena is so personable and efficient the appointments always fly by. The shampoo/ head massage is incredible and makes you melt in to the chair. The location in Old Town is a bonus if you want to wander around afterwards and show off your fabulous hair!
