Dr. Ken Yasuhara received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry. He has achieved Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry and has advanced training in aesthetic dentistry from the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He continues to take over 100 hours of continuing education courses per year.

Dr Ken Yasuhara and he exemplary staff are the most welcoming, talented, affordable and caring professional aesthetic dental and family practice I've ever experienced in my 56 years of seeing dentists! They under promise and over deliver!!! Whether invisalign, crack/chip repair, or as simple as cleaning...it's done with care, attention to detail, transparent communication before/during/after procedures and the follow up is amazing. Dr. Yasuhara and his wonderful staff literally SAVED my Hawaii vacation. While I was eating a sandwich just before heading to the Atlanta airport to board my flight to Honolulu, the veneer on my front tooth came off. I called his office and explained my situation. I was given an appointment for the next day and Dr. Yasuhara re-cemented the veneer back on and restored my smile. His work was stellar. The cost was very fair too. He is a Gold Standard Dentist. Dr.Yasuhara is only looking out for his practice! He's unethical and arrogant. He insisted on having my 93 year old mother come in and have her teeth cleaned, a non emergency procedure during the stay in shelter guidelines. I told him my mother would be vulnerable having her mouth open and exposed for an hour and not knowing if his staff were positive. This medical professional felt the pandemic was overblown and my elderly mother will be okay even though she was 93 years old. My mother suffered a stroke a week later. He does not feel accountable for her stress brought on with this appointment

Dr. Yasuhara was irresponsible and unethical in coercing my 93 year old mother to have a non emergency procedure like cleaning her teeth during this critical time when the elderly are vulnerable to contracting covid19. Apparently he and my sister who is a nurse at Kaisers decided to have the appointment irregardless because they felt this pandemic is just news propaganda and people are over reacting. I told the doctor I was concerned that if my mother contracted the disease in your office and died you would just say she was going to die anyway. He didn't feel he would be accountable. I understand

I came home for vacation and found myself in excruciating pain and I still had 5 days left and didn't know what it was or what to do. Dr. Yasuhara's office was able to squeeze me in and was so friendly and awesome! Dr. Yasuhara explained everything to me and his staff called every endodontist they knew until they found one that could see me today! They knew how much pain I was in and only an endodontist would be able to help me get back to enjoying my vacation! Dr. Yasuhara is by far the best dentist I've encountered. Takes his time and explains the process with you. The best Feeling is knowing your being treated like a patient and not a dental mill. They completed oral exams on things I've never had done before. The office is immaculate and the view will be nearly hard to beat. The overall zen experience, helps take the edge off and the staff is friendly and most importantly they are professionals. I've decided to pull my family away from the last Dentist care and will be using Dr. Yasuhara moving forward. I can wait to my next

Let me start by saying Dr. Yasuhara is NOT CHEAP. But should you really be looking for a cut-rate dentist? Probably not.
what Dr. Yasuhara, and his staff are is very, very good at dentistry. Always quick, pain free and with an eye on cosmetic dentistry that leaves your smile looking great.
The offices are always clean and well organized...with great views and all the newest equipment.
The staff is super friendly.I also appreciate their help with arranging a manageable payment plan, and email/text reminders, which go out like clockwork. Perfect for my busy life.

Love it here. If you HAD to have dental work done, Doc Yasuhara's place really caters to you.
Clean, beautiful, office with great staff.
Been to about a dozen dentists and he's really the best! Even the people his office refers us to is great! Many of my friends rave about him as well.
Robin's (receptionist/office manager/wonder woman) the greatest as well.
Forget the rest of the island dentists! No comparison!

I went to a chain dentist office for a long time because it was convenient. Then I tried Dr Yasuhara once, yes because of the commercials on TV and for some reason I thought he looked honest. I wish I had moved sooner!
The office was pleasant, staff was good, and everything went so smooth. No packed waiting room times, no short or rude staff. No rushing by the dentist. I'm actually looking forward to scheduling a checkup although I'm embarrassed I'm a few months late. I want to say Thanks for opening my eyes to a new level of good.

How often can you say, "I don't mind going to the dentist!" Well, Dr. Yasuhara and his staff make me feel this way. They are all very friendly, efficient, and professional. The office has a warm and welcoming feeling, and their equipment is very up-to-date. I would recommend this dental office in a heartbeat.

The staff at Dr. Yasuhara's office are always warm and friendly. They make you feel like family. And Dr. Yasuhara is great! He warm personality melts away all the tension that seems to naturally come from sitting down in a dentist's chair and his work is quality.

When I moved to Honolulu 1 1/2 yrs ago, I had to search out new basics, like a bank, doctor, veterinarian and … a dentist. My daughter recommended her dentist, Dr. Yasuhara. So I gave him a try. I was impressed with how peaceful and serene his offices are, and the view is spectacular (well, it makes sitting in the dentist chair quite pleasant). The staff couldn't be nicer and immediately made me feel at home. Luckily, I had only simple procedures done (diagnostic/cleaning), and I was quite pleased with the work. And, yes, Dr. Yasuhara is now our family's dentist.

I went in to ask about invisilign and how much it costed and other such questions. And I knew that it ran in the thousands but before I even told him that I didn't expect it to be whatever the standard was for that, he suggested that for my situation, I would be a good candidate for something called in-lign and it was a fraction of the cost! It was comforting to know that he cared about me more than just trying to make money off of me. I went ahead and got it and my teeth got straightened within a few months and then I lost it... Then I proceeded to get another one and I lost that one too

Contacted their office to set up a consultation to whiten my teeth, the female on the other end was very informative and professional. When I came into the office I was greeted by name and introduced to the staff at the front. The entire staff is very warm, friendly and professional. I 100% would recommend Dr. Yasuhara to friends and family.

Saw Dr. Yasuhara for my bi-annual cleaning/check-up. He and his staff are always so nice and friendly. Most of his op chairs have a really great view of Ala Moana beach which usually tends to relax me a little. The hygenist took some x-rays (I hate doing those) but was really thorough and did a great job cleaning my teeth. I think she worked really hard (sorry, I'll try to floss more!). Then Dr. Yasuhara came in and did his usual exam (yay, no cavities!). I even got a free oral cancer screening where you go in a room and they turn off the lights and check your mouth with a special flashlight

I was seeing my awesome dentist, Dr. Ken Yasuhara, and mentioned to the technician that I never mind going there for any reason - in fact, I am happy to go there. She said it was so good to hear that because most people don't like visiting the dentist. Well, that's true. I didn't used to like going, either.
But, I thought, what's not to like at Dr. Yasuhara's? The staff is upbeat, warm, and compassionate. Each person makes me feel comfortable and cared for. Dr. Yasuhara has to be one of the most genuinely nice people I've ever met, and he's fast and does fantastic
