Fort Howard Apartments is owned and operated by Co-Care, Inc, one of the original neighborhood associations in Green Bay. Our building was built in response to an interest in having senior housing in the heart of the west side of Green Bay. Co-Care is a non-profit group that seeks to provide a beautiful home for our residents and be an asset to our neighborhood.
Our rent is affordable because we are HUD subsidized and rent is based on each individuals income.

During my college years at St. Norbert College, I had the opportunity to do volunteer work with older adults in St. Louis, Denver and finally an internship at the Brown County Commission on Aging. These experiences helped me find the work that I love. I started my career at the Brown County Commission on Aging and later accepted the position here.
Fort Howard Apartments relies on volunteers and donations to continue to provide a beautiful and affordable home for our residents. Please contact us if you can help. Interview one or two residents a month and write a short story about them for resident newsletter. Work one-on-one with residents to learn basics like email and facebook.

I go to different apartment complexes for my work and I have found the Fort Howard Apartments to be one of the nicest, cleanest, friendliest buildings. It is a 3 story complex. They have a coffee shop room open 2x per week, exercise classes put on by someone who lives there, transportation services available for shopping trips, as well as other social gatherings throughout the year. I find that the managment seems to know and genuinely care about the tenants. Overall, I enjoy going there.
