Profitness Physical Therapy PC
The ProFitness Physical Therapy team is led by Scott Bedson, PT and Ken Schlinger, PT. Scott and Ken founded ProFitness in 1986 with the goal of getting patients back to 100% and back to their active lives as quickly as possible. Over the years, Scott and Ken have surrounded themselves with a team of experienced physical therapists who share their patient-focused philosophy.

Excellent facility, Anthony a very capable DPT, Hospital for Special Surgery network, sunny convenient space, helpful. When it's time for my yearly rehab for an injury caused by getting old there's no place I would rather stare into the. My first time doing PT (for my knee), I found Shraddhali to be incredibly helpful, a great mix of empathy, kindness and.

Scott Bedson, PT and Ken Schlinger, PT owners of ProFitness Physical Therapy, became life long friends after working together at New York Presbyterian Hospital and followed their passion for improving lives by opening ProFitness Physical Therapy on the Upper East Side in 1986. At that time, the medical profession was becoming "business by the numbers."
While living with Parkinson's disease can be challenging, there are many things you can do to live well and improve your quality of life. Because PD affects each person differently, your physical therapist will partner with you and your physician to manage your specific situation - now and as your condition changes.
Musuclar Back Pain: This is the most common cause of back pain and is due to muscular strains. This happens when an unexpected force such as a twist or pull creates tears in the muscle tissue. These muscular tears cause pain felt in the low back. Degenerative Disc Disease: The discs between each vertebrae become thinner, stiffer and weaker over time, and as a result they cannot absorb forces as well.
Knee pain and knee injuries are fairly common, and can affect nearly anyone whether you are highly active or fairly sedentary. There are many potential causes for knee pain, and physical therapy may be the best treatment option for you. Knee osteoarthritis: This condition is a common problem for many elderly and middle-aged people.
Ankle Sprain: A sprain results in the stretching or tearing of the ankle ligaments. This tearing creates an inflammatory response that produces pain and swelling. Shin Splints: This condition is most often the result of overuse. Repeated movements of the foot can damage the anterior or posterior tibialis tendons and muscles.

I’ve had the need of PT two or three times in the past 20 years, I’ve always gone to Pro Fitness and each time I’ve had the best therapist. Kind, dedicated and so right on to whatever issue we were dealing with.

How does this place have a 5-star rating? I went in for an exam and will never go back. The waiting room is overcrowded and there's no way to socially distance. I heard one of the older therapists telling somebody he was working with anti-mask nonsense AND another therapist had somebody walking on a treadmill with no mask on. I looked it up and the two people I mentioned are the OWNERS OF THE CLINIC. This place is a COVID super-spreader waiting to happen even if they say they "check temperatures".

I’ve been going to PT here for about 3/4 weeks now. Jennifer is my physical therapist trainer, she is AMAZING! Very personable, gentle, listens to what I’m explaining I feel, where the pain is, gives excellent advice for how to work through pain management at home. I’m being treated for a complex meniscus tear and I’ve always been skeptical about PT facilities in the past from past experiences, however this place gas been great. I will recommend to anyone thinking of coming here, they’re really good. Appointments also run on time, love a facility who can respect your time.
