Since 1892, our family has provided care and support to the community through the most vulnerable of times - the death of a loved one. Sol Levinson & Bros.' commitment to excellence has always been to fulfill your family's wishes and traditions. The funeral service can make a tremendous difference in helping your family grieve, while honoring the memory of your loved one.
Over the years, our family members may have changed, but our core principles have not. The foundation of the way we operate has always been the same: do the right thing. One generation teaches the next, reinforcing the importance of the sacred trust that has been placed in us, and the professional and dignified manner in which we carry out our work.

Services
Sol Levinson & Bros. has been family owned and operated since 1892. Each family's needs are handled with an emphasis on the details and personal attention they deserve. With multiple generations actively involved, the Levinson family oversees every aspect of each funeral to ensure excellent service.
For five generations, Levinson's has been an integral part of the Jewish community in Baltimore and surrounding areas. We are honored to share our history of personal service, care, and tradition, which began in 1892. Our timeline chronicles meaningful milestones, articles and important dates throughout our history.
Your staff made me feel as if I was the only one going through the trauma of losing a loved one. Your attention to detail is impeccable. Your staff is trained so well that the entire process is seamless. I am certain that Sol and the rest of the Levinsons that came before are so very proud. Turk, Thank you so very much for being so kind during all of the arrangements for my mother.
At Levinson's the funeral is meant to be a personalized expression of respect and honor to the deceased. It is an opportunity to support the family and begin the bereavement process by bringing together family, friends and the larger community.

We value our long-standing relationship with the Jewish community in Columbia, Ellicott City, Clarksville, and surrounding areas. As part of this commitment, families living in Howard County may arrange to meet with our Funeral Directors in the center of Columbia. Our Columbia Arrangement Center is a warm, intimate space where you can meet with a Funeral Director to pre-plan or make funeral arrangements.

I had pre-arranged our funerals for my wife and myself a year earlier. We live in Santa Barbara but chose to be buried in Baltimore. When my beloved wife died at home at night, it required just one phone call to Levinson (and a real person answered!). The local funeral home came for her and arranged to fly her to Baltimore. The Levinson folks took care of everything exactly as we had planned it. The obituary they prepared was superb; I suggested changing just three words. The Rabbi they assigned, Jerry Seidler, conducted the service in the chapel and at graveside with great dignity and eloquence

The loss of a loved one is never an easy thing to deal with for family and friends; but the staff at Sol Levinson goes above and beyond to make sure your requests are catered to and that everything is in good hands. Everyone we dealt with had a professional manner. All was handled in a timely manner, from the time of the passing to the listing online, and the funeral planning itself.
Our driver was very courteous and opened/closed our doors in the limo for us; even going as far as to ask if we had a preference on who got dropped off first.
Sol Levinson did have COVID-19 measures in place and

Although I no longer live in Baltimore, I have often said that when I die, I won’t Rest In Peace unless Sol buries me! All kidding aside, Sol Levinson Funeral Home is greatly respected as an institution in the Jewish community. They are professional, caring, and supportive; this means a lot when one is dealing with the loss of a loved one.

We recently experienced a family members' loss. We had arranged a pre-need contract with Levinson. It was very easy to arrange and get all the paperwork handled. When it came time to arrange for a funeral they were very professional and efficient in a difficult moment. They were also flexible at the funeral for our particular family custom of shoveling all the dirt ourselves. The Levinson guy rolled up his sleeves and pitched in.

The funeral for my beloved and brave sister was held there four days ago. My brother-in-law made the arrangements and he said the personnel were wonderful to work with. Every single employee who attended to us on the day of the funeral was superb; incredibly compassionate (including our driver, Paul) and thoughtful, plus they anticipated every detail. The chapel is very peaceful, and it was large enough to hold the huge number of people who attended the service. My family is very grateful for all of the support provided by the funeral home.

Dealing with death is never fun. It is however, certain in life.
I attended funeral services here many years ago but really don't remember enough to offer any review from that side.
My grandparents are nearing the end of their days and requested that they be involved in planning their funerals to alleviate that burden from being put on their children. At their request I contacted Sol Levinson's and set up an appointment with Adam.
Adam arranged for a driver to pick us up and drop us off after the meeting. He was ready when we arrived and did not make us wait at all. He was patient
