Elemental Massage
Lisa Malmstadt, owner and massage therapist, studied the art of massage therapy at Blue Sky School of Professional Massage and Therapeutic Bodywork in Grafton, WI. Her in school training consisted of 850 hours of classroom and hands-on massage training. Shortly after completing her training, Lisa moved to Jamaica with her partner and started her massage career as a private, mobile massage therapist.

After 7 wonderful years in Jamaica, Lisa and her partner decided to move back to the United States to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Although originally from Wisconsin, they were spoiled by Jamaica's weather and decided to make the California wine country their new home. Lisa's clients benefit from her years of experience and training, getting an exceptional massage every time.

Therapeutic massage is a term that describes any massage promoting physiological health benefits, relieve pain, fix a problem area or reduce stress in the body. There are several types of therapeutic massage, including the Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, hot stone massage, and more.
Deep tissue massage addresses the deeper structures of your muscles and connective tissue. This type of massage is more concentrated, and the massage therapist often pays attention to one exact area at a time. If your muscles feel particularly tight or appear to have knots, you may need some deep tissue work.
Hot stone massage is a type of therapeutic massage that uses the same techniques as the Swedish massage, but with the addition of heated stones. It is typical for the stones used to be smooth river rocks. All stones we use come from Goat Rock Beach in Sonoma County, CA. These stones are heated in a bath of 120-150-degree water.
Lomi Lomi is a type of massage that originated in Hawaii. It means "to knead, to rub, or soothe; to work in and out, as the paws of a contented cat." Lomi is conducted with the goal of feeling complete tranquility and encourage healing. This ancient Hawaiian massage works to balance the mind, body, and spirit using a mixture of techniques that can be found in the aforementioned styles of therapeutic massage.
Side-lying massage is perfect for those who cannot lay on their stomach because of surgery, pregnancy, or any other type of discomfort. For pregnancy, side lying massage is used in the later stages and is a great way to open up the rib cage for the growth of the baby. During pregnancy, it is advised the expecting mother receive a massage as often as she sees the doctor.

Fantastic massages. I sit at a computer all day every day for work, and Lisa and Amber keep me loose and knot free. Also, I absolutely love their new infrared sauna. It helps me detox and relax, plus they can get deeper in the massage treatment of I do the sauna first. Highly recommend doing a sauna+massage combo regularly here!

Lisa is a great massage therapist. She does a lot of injury and site-specific massage, so she can help with that old injury of yours. I would highly recommend, as she is professional, passionate, and really good at working energy. What I mean by that is that after her appointments I feel lighter, better, and more relaxed than before. I initially went to see her for a neck problem, and continue to see her regularly. Thanks Lisa!

My immediate anxiety going into the treatment was that it was going to be exceptionally boring to sit there alone with nothing to do for 30 minutes in a 130-degree box. The cabinet inside the sauna let me link my phone up to the speakers to play music while I was in there. I chose some music and spaced out on social network. The 30 minutes went by fast. I was having a little sweat but I felt good. I didn’t feel bored at all. Noticed temperature climbed a little in steady increments. Allowing my body to gradually get use to temperature. After session I was expecting to feel sweaty and dehydrated

I'm not going to lie.......l was TERRIFIED to see Lisa especially in the condition I was in. I slept on my neck wrong and was in excruciating pain. I tried to tough it out but by day three (Lisa got mad at me for waiting so long) I couldn't stand it. I called Lisa and she got me in THAT DAY! I hated her for about 60 minutes but then loved her. She is an wealth of information and I highly recommend her! You will LOVE to hate Lisa. 😉

Absolutely incredible!! Lisa was wonderful. She did a deep tissue massage for me, and it was definitely one of the most healing experiences of my life. My muscles feel relaxed and I'm so calm after our session.
I'm in town visiting, but if I lived here, she definitely would be my regular massage therapist. I can not recommended her highly enough. Do yourself a favor and get a massage! Your body will be really happy.
