For more than 55 years, the gay owned and operated Brass Key Hotel has stood as the pinnacle of luxury and refinement in the heart of Provincetown. The Brass Key Hotel's extraordinary lodgings, gracious staff and stunning grounds will satisfy tastes from hip and chic, to elegant and antique. At the Brass Key we strive to cultivate a relaxed, fun atmosphere combined with extraordinary service and attention to detail catering to all walks of life.
An 1830s whaling captain's house built in the New England Federal Style this building contains ten guest rooms and several common areas for the use of all guests. The building features a roof deck for sunbathing (clothing optional) and extravagant views of the harbor and town; a second-floor deck overlooking the in-ground whirlpool; and one of the three guest lounges on the property.
Our Classic Queen rooms are our entry level accomodations and are spread through out the Captain's House, the Victorian, and the Queen Anne buildings. These well appointed rooms feature newly renovated bathrooms with tubs or showers, with most boasting European body-spray shower units. These rooms features a queen size bed, LCD TV, mini fridge, A/C, and Keurig coffee maker.
Our four Superior King rooms are approximately 225 square feet offering guests a little more space than the Classic Queens. Located throughout the property, they feature king-size beds, mini fridges, LCD TV's, and Keurig coffee makers. Three of these rooms have showers with body spray jets while the other has a shower whirlpool tub combo.
This room is located on the second floor of The Victorian and has a large bathroom containing an oversize whirlpool tub big enough for two. The rooms best feature is the large deck that has lounge chairs, table seating and potted plants and an outdoor refrigerator. Overlooking the pool, regulars know it as the "see and be seen deck".

Stayed here for my 10 year wedding anniversary. The entire place and our room was so cute! The staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good and I love that afternoon wine and cheese. It's just too bad that it was chilly when we were there, otherwise we would've jumped into the pool. I can't wait to go back there...hopefully when it's warmer.

Lovely establishment. Very neat and clean. Friendly and super-accommodating staff. Buildings/rooms are repurposed residences, so they have a very homey feel whilst each being entirely unique. Just a quick walk from the action of central P-town; we parked our car at the hotel and got along on foot for the remainder of our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future.

I would give the Brass Key 10 stars if available. Tyler and his staff went above and beyond to ensure an amazing experience at the resort. The grounds are immaculate, rooms are spotless and the breakfast was excellent. You get the best of both worlds here, close to the action on Commercial St but also your own private oasis if you prefer a relaxing day at the resort. If you are visiting Provincetown make this place a must do!

Can’t wait to go back! My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much. Wonderful location, staff, rooms, decor! We had the best sleeps of our whole vacation here. The beds and pillows were incredible. We went and stayed at 4 more hotels on our vacation after we left Ptown and every night I wished I was back in our room at Brass Key. If you’re looking for a sign to go ahead and book- this is it! DO IT! We will be back soon! Thank you guys!

The perfect weekend getaway! My partner and I wanted to get away for the weekend and The Brass Key Hotel did not disappoint! Ken and his team made us feel welcome the moment we checked in and the property and service are impeccable. Going forward we plan on staying at the Brass Key anytime we visit Ptown. Thank you again for a wonderful weekend!

Love coming to this wonderful establishment each year. We look forward to it more and more. They have the most warm and welcoming staff, who we have become very close too after seeing them each year. I wish I could name them all but I would have to list the entire population. The Brass Key has amazing amenities, delicious ever-changing breakfast options, incredible wine, cheese and cracker happy hour, immaculately clean pool, everything is high-end. Meeting our vacation family here each year is one of the best parts, people come back year after year and that says everything about this paradise

Just spent five days at the Brass Key. I don't usually do reviews but this place is special. Had to make a change to my reservation and worked with Stephen. He was very accommodating and it was a little challenging because my dog travels with us. The rooms were worth every penny. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. COVID offers challenges but they were all handled with grace and ease. The morning breakfast was very good. If you skip the muffins you are making a huge mistake, they are excellent, so kudos to the chef. Afternoons by the pool with cocktails made the day for us. I needed

We are currently in room 124 and are having a marvelous time. Brass Key is close enough to the festivities to be convenient, but secluded a bit so it's quiet and relaxing.
The compound reminds me of Key West. The breakfast was better than expected (coffee great!).
Although it was too cool to use the pool, it is gorgeous and inviting. The hot tub is just perfect.
The Brass Key was a delight! Highly recommended.

I love the Brass Key Guest House! It has been a while since my last visit, but I am looking forward to another relaxing week in late August. Last year, I enjoyed the friendly service from the staff... a great pool... and a handy bar in the Lobby to start your evenings out! I did not have any issue with the noise (and I am not a late night person). The other guests were super cordial... felt a little like summer camp! Enjoy!

I would give this Inn/Resort 6 Stars if I could! Every year it gets better. The staff and owners make everyone feel welcome and create an atmosphere of camaraderie and relaxation throughout the day. The rooms, grounds, pool, and hot tub are meticulously maintained and you can tell that they are investing yearly into the property. I just got back and this year they had an entire super powerful Wifi system through the resort. They are always renovating rooms, grounds, bathrooms etc. Finally, the best service --- and I've stayed at the finest hotels all over the world. They really do everything

I started going to the Brass Key in 1998 and hadn't been back in a while. Let me start by saying that overall it's still well maintained and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately what's changed is the party atmosphere that stretches from the club/bar they added in front to the all-night jacuzzi scene that was going strong at 3 AM and kept me awake most of the night. Nobody should pay $400+/night for that kind of experience unless you want to be up all night with the boys.

I travel extensively and understand completely how cancelations work.
I booked a reservation through a 3rd party and needed to cancel due to the hospitalization of my father. I called the 3rd party and explained my situation they completely understood and told me they would reached out to Tom, the owner of the Brass Key, while i was put on hold.
The 3rd party informed me that Tom would not honor the cancelation and for the record I was not in violation of the cancelation policy. I was am being charged for the stay.
When I called the property I spoke with a smug man named Ken. Ken condescendingly

Have been visiting Provincetown for about 4 years now and always enjoy staying at the Brass Key. Key reasons - pun intended, centrally located, free parking, nice pool, large hot tub for chilly nights to soak those muscles, and the wine and cheese hour at 5pm every night is fantastic. I would rather relax by the pool on a hot day instead of drudging to the boat slip if I were to lodge at a facility with out a pool. Some of the rooms have queen beds some have king, just decide when booking. The only thing I noticed was the WiFi could be a tad slow.
The staff has always been great, never really

Stayed at the Brass Key for a mini vacation to celebrate my birthday and enjoy a much needed getaway from the stresses of day-to-day life. The Brass Key didn't disappoint, from the beautiful grounds, swimming pool, huge whirlpool, tastefully decorated rooms, free breakfast and from 5pm-6pm free wine, beer and nibbles in one of the many lounges. Thanks to the Brass Key and their staff for making this vacation a memorable one.

This place was incredible. People talk a lot about location and amenities; I'm here to talk about the staff.
The staff was so accommodating. It was a group of 30+ of us and they made sure our stay was wonderful and unforgettable.
Anything we needed they either had it or told us how to get it. They provided us with suggestions and recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Even though it was very cold outside they always were accommodating and had the hot tub open for us.
Our group was hanging out late one night and suddenly we all got hungry. One of the staff members, Scott, helped

The Brass Key was a truly wonderful place to stay in PTown. You made this trip such an enjoyable memory! I would have a hard time staying anywhere else. It really feels more like a bed and breakfast.
They strive to make all your requests perfect upon arrival. Rick greeted us, promptly showed us the beautiful hotel grounds, and our room. He was a wonderful host.
The rooms are quiet, gorgeous, bright, and impeccably clean.
The grounds are absolutely lovely! The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The pool and hot tub are wonderful. We spent a lot of time here and made a ton of new friends
