Services
Have your physician prescription. New York State laws allow physical therapists to treat a patient for 10 sessions without a prescription. Please call us at 212-967-5337 if you do not have a prescription. We will be happy to guide you on this matter. Arrive 10 minutes early to fill out any paperwork (some paperwork is not on the website due to HIPPA regulations).
Paspa PT accepts the below insurances. This is not a complete list and is updated frequently. If your insurance carrier is not on this list, call our office to inquire if we are able to accept it, as we are always updating our networks. Prior to your appointment, our knowledgeable billing staff will contact your insurance carrier, confirm your physical therapy benefits and help you to understand your coverage.
People are referred to physical therapy, or PT, as the field is commonly called, for numerous diagnoses. Orthopedists, sports medicine doctors, neurologists, rheumatologists, endocrinologists, podiatrists, primary care MDs, physiatrists, and gerontologists are just some of the specialists who send patients to PT.
Our highly-experienced physical therapists have extensive knowledge in the treatment of numerous musculoskeletal conditions, both surgical and non-surgical. Your therapist will perform a detailed evaluation and then implement a treatment program, which can include manual techniques, education, stretching exercises, and strengthening exercises.

Paspa is very organized & professional. The initial telephone contact was very informative; easy to make 1st appointment. Kristen, my physical therapist was welcoming & put me immediately at ease. She explained & demonstrated the exercises, helping me feel enthusiastic & eager to learn. A care plan was provided to assist with at home training.. The Paspa establishment is well set up; plenty of room & very clean (COVID safe). I highly recommend Paspa for any physical therapy needs.

I have been working with hugo for the past few months and, in my opinion, this is one of the best physical therapy shops in the city. Hugo is extremely attentive and unlike other pt shops, they don't just churn people in and out using standard therapy progressions. I feel like they spend the time to create a catered program based on where I am which has resulted in better long term outcomes.

I cannot say enough good things about Paspa Physical Therapy. From the cleanliness of the facility to the friendliness, encouragement and professionalism of the staff, Paspa gets an A+++ from me! After 2 joint replacement surgeries, and now spine problems, I've been to my fair share of PT practices. Paspa is by far the best and every time I see my GP I thank her for referring me.

I am making improvement and having less pain since I started therapy at Paspa. I had a change in health insurance so had to change therapist suddenly. It was actually a blessing.
I have had a lot of therapy in my life due to an accident -- so this isn't my first rodeo. The office super clean, friendly, filled with premium equipment and most importantly the therapist are excellent.

I have been going to Paspa Physical Therapy for several weeks now, after my ACL surgery and couldn’t be happier. The entire staff is super friendly and professional from the receptionist to the physical therapists. And also the office is very pleasant, clean, bright with tons of great energy. I had sessions with Pam and Hugo and they are both amazing.

I broke my ankle in August of last year and started Physical Therapy at Paspa early October for a duration of approx 3 months. My doctor gave me a list of Physical Therapy places in midtown and I chose Paspa based on the walking distance from my office and to be honest I got a good feeling about Paspa after looking at their website.
I was not wrong! Pam and her fantastic staff were very patient and knowledgable. I felt very vulnerable and nervous about walking normally again, they got me off my crutches very quickly without needing a walking aid in the interim!
Every visit I gained more and more

Paspa is the best place I have ever been to for Physical Therapy! Pam is the most wonderful therapist...the amount of time she spends with me is unmatched. Her work is therapeutic and does what it needs to, without being painful, as can unfortunately be the case at other places. Everyone helping with the exercises is great...Stas takes the time to stay with me during all of my exercises to make sure I'm doing them correctly, and to take breaks when I need. There is no rush to get me in and out as can also be the case in many other places. The office staff is great and so accommodating both in person

Over the years, I have been to other physical therapy places in the area, but would never go back. However.....this past year, I fell and suffered a terrible injury of my right leg. After the wound healed, the surgeon recommended PT for me.
A friend then recommended PASPA Physical therapy. I LOVE this place. I LOVE the people. I have been under the care of Pam (the proprietor) who does ultra sound and massage (heavenly) on my leg, as well as my therapist, STAS, who I adore. Stas is patient, careful, concerned, and very attentive. He is also a cheerleader - and always tells

I've been going to Paspa Physical Therapy twice a week for about two months and I love it.
I had never been to physical therapy before and I almost didn't think I needed to go since the boot had come off of my ankle after a fall, but my doctor recommended it and I was overwhelmed with pamphlets about various PT places, but then a coworker recommended Pam at Paspa and I decided just to go with that. I'm so glad I did. I think we often forget how connected our mind and body is and when I first started going to Paspa, I was grumpy and sad and sort of not wanting to open up to the physical

First time doing PT and I'm glad I chose this place to do my therapy. I broke my arm and came in soon after surgery. I worked with Stephanie, and she managed to get me rehabbed in two months, and then an additional month to help get back into weightlifting. She was extremely professional and friendly, making the whole ordeal a lot more bearable. The assistants as well were all knowledgeable and helpful throughout.
Scheduling was straight forward, either call or through the front desk, and can schedule for several weeks ahead.

Things were going along fine until I hurt myself during a session. No big deal. Mentioned it to therapist, Stephanie (who did a great job with me). After that, she told me I was almost out of reimbursements (even though I had a number left) and it might be better to come back later in the year to "finish". For that, 1-2 stars should be warranted but I had done well until then, so I'll give a gentleman's 3. I went elsewhere to finish. I had enough coverage, BTW.

I went to Paspa after I hurt my shoulder, mostly from wear and tear over the years working out and swimming. The staff that I worked with during my sessions was fantastic. They were very knowledgeable, answered any questions I had, and worked with me every step of the way to make sure I understood each exercise and how it helped my shoulder to recover. Specifically, I worked with Stephanie, who was very friendly, knowledgeable and I would 100% recommend her and Paspa for anyone who needs physical therapy. Throughout my time there I felt very comfortable to ask questions. I have nothing but great

I don't get the great reviews. Just like any other PT place I've ever been to: throw you into a gym with 6 other patients at the same time, with inexperienced assistants (not the actual physical therapists) "supervising" your exercises. I put "supervising" in quotes because they are tending to so many patients at the same time you do most of your exercises without any guidance. They also ignored my preexisting knee injury that I disclosed to them and gave me exercises that made my knee hurt worse. Yes the staff is nice, but if I am going to do the exercises on

PASPA was referred to me by two co-workers, and now I know why! The staff here are welcoming and friendly, and I actually looked forward to each physical therapy session (which is important when you're coming in twice a week). They have shorts, t-shirts, and socks you can change into, and the facilities are clean and spacious. The physical therapist I worked with was Dan and he knows his stuff. Dan is clear in explaining what he's doing, listens to your concerns, and always makes you feel at ease. After the expected 4-6 weeks of sessions, I am happy to say I finally feel back to myself

I'm currently in therapy here for labral tears in my hips and something that's either tendinitis or a labral tear in my right shoulder. I've been going here for a little over a month now and my shoulder has definitely improved. Still get pain in it if I overuse it but it's nowhere near what it was when I first started. My hips are more difficult to treat since labral tears don't heal so I'm still working on that. However, that's been an interesting journey at this place...
When I first went there, it was mostly for my shoulder as that was a more recent injury

In May 2012 I was T-boned by an SUV that was moving at around 60 mph while on my motorcycle. After a month and a half in the hospital I ended up at Paspa and started working with Christine. I wouldn't be walking today if it wasn't for Christine and everyone else at Paspa. They gave me the extra treatment time that my body needed to get moving again. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. Seriously. I had in patient PT at a renowned hospital in NYC and compared to Paspa it was terrible.
