Services
Originally established in 1958 by Dr. Richard Clark, Seidl Veterinary Hospital was exclusively a large animal practice up until his retirement. Since then, we've been providing top notch veterinary care to cats and dogs in Hastings and the surrounding communities. To ensure our patients receive only the best care possible, we work diligently to maintain our status as an AAHA-accredited animal hospital.
Established in 1958 by Dr. Richard Clark as a primarily large animal practice, Seidl Veterinary Hospital increased its care of small animals after Dr. David Seidl joined the team in 1973. Dr. Seidl became a partner in 1986 and the hospital moved to its current location in 1988. After Dr. Clark retired, Seidl Veterinary Hospital became exclusively a small animal practice.
Our veterinarians offer preventive care, wellness exams and services for kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. Diagnostic imaging allows our veterinarians to look at your pet internally for clues about sickness or injury. Dental care is an essential part of your pet's overall health to prevent dental disease and tooth loss.
Let Seidl Veterinary Hospital provide professional care for your kitten, puppy, cat, or dog. A physical exam is the smartest and easiest way to keep your pet healthy. Wellness exams allow our veterinarians to detect problems and diseases that might go undiscovered otherwise, including heart murmurs, tumors, enlarged organs, cataracts, ear infections, ear mites, dental disease, skin issues and allergies.
At Seidl Veterinary Hospital, our goal is keeping your pet happy and healthy. Thanks to modern diagnostics and our on-site laboratory, we're able to do just that for sick and injured pets. Diagnostic imaging allows us to examine your pet's internal organs and body systems to better diagnose their conditions.

This place is amazing with pets !
We'd been dealing with an older dog (pug) that we've had for 14yrs, the time was near for her to go and the staff was great handling everything we needed to let her go peacefully!
Even stayed past closing time to help us out...went above and beyond to comfort us and our situation!
Thank you for caring for our animals !! ❤

Our 15 year old boxer mix fell down the stairs. Going on car rides stress her out and we were hoping to take her to seidl as it is not only a vet she was familiar but was only 2 minutes away. We were told they would not be able to see her WITHIN THE WEEK and to check back or go elsewhere. We ended up forcing her through a 50 minute stressful drive to Blue Pearl to find out she was having seizures and had fluid in her lungs. The amazing vets there were able to give us a half hour with her and calm her down before they euthanized her with us in the room to give her a peaceful goodbye. She was suffering

Dr. Seidl's office has been taking care of my pets since I moved to Hastings. When we had to put down our husky, he came out to our home in the country so it would be less stressful for our dog. He is very good with animals and people, and recommended several different types of corn-free dog food when he realized our new pup had a corn allergy. He didn't even push for the stuff that was out front, he gave us a lot of very well educated options.
Recently, I took my cat Gandalf in for a checkup. I met with one of the other vets, she was excellent with Gandalf and he stayed very calm during
