Thistlegarten Creative Arts PreSchool is a 20-year establishment in Redwood City that draws from 40 years of early childhood development and creative enrichment programming that has served well-over 10,000 children from all over the Bay Area since 1981! Thistlegarten is a unique program that offers a morning educational experience and an afternoon enrichment program, 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday through Friday.
The programs are mixed age, from 18 months to 5 years and incorporate experiences in movement, music, art, drama, cooking, sports, math, science, and tutoring. Limited space available for infants age 6-18 months. Sandi McCreadie, the founder and director of Thistlegarten Creative Arts PreSchool, earned her BS in Child Development in 1978 and her MAT in Early Childhood Education in 1980.

The Thistlegarten experience provides a safe, cherishing environment where children have fun and learn. Thistlegarten children leave our school happy, healthy, and with great base knowledge and cognitive skills. They also graduate knowing that school is a great place and are excited about Kindergarten.
