To care for the whole child and provide opportunities for each one to grow to their full potential emotionally, socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually. We strive to prepare every child and their family for kindergarten. Since PCC Preschool was established in 1965, the teachers, directors, and staff continue valuing that preschool-aged children learn best through play.

Services
Our teachers will provide a balance of free choice, small group, large group, and outdoor playtimes in all our classes. Children will experience a variety of hands-on experiences that encourage learning through play as well as structured activities led by the teachers. While in our care, we strive to keep each child physically and emotionally safe.
The application fee must be turned in with the application and paid by cash or check. The fee will not be processed until a child has a spot in PCC Preschool. If a child does not obtain a spot, all checks will be marked void, and/or cash can be picked up at the PCC Preschool Administrative Office. The materials fee is a one-time payment for supplies that help support your child's learning experience.
Our 3-year-old program's focus is to help children learn to separate from their parents and grow comfortable in a school setting. In the safe relationships with the teachers, the children feel free to explore the many activities set out in our inviting classroom.
Through the curriculum, teachers introduce children to basic cognitive skills and emphasize communication skills, encouraging children to use words to share their thoughts and ask for what they want and need.Each school day's format includes free choice, large group circle time, small group time, and outside play on our enclosed and expansive playground.

School begins at 9 am each morning. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure your child is ready to enter the classroom at 9 am in order to experience the entirety of the school day. We have found that it can be difficult for children to enter play when they arrive late and the other children are already engaged in activities.
For over 60 years Peninsula Covenant Church has been changing the lives in the Redwood City community. PCC Preschool is just one of several ministries at PCC dedicated to this mission. Our greatest desire is to infuse the hope of Christ in our city and world, by empowering generations to passionately follow Christ, one home at a time.

PCC Preschool is an absolute gem. After a challenging experience at another preschool, my 3 year old son is now thriving at PCC. The teachers are high quality, caring, loving, and intentional. They are intelligent and nurturing. I feel such peace every time I drop him off. He is so excited to go to school, and we all feel so cared for by the director and staff. Highly recommend!
