Among Friends ADHC / CBAS (Community Based Adult Services) supports adults 18 years of age and older with various medical, physical, and behavioral supportive needs in an integrated community-based setting centrally located in beautiful downtown Oxnard. Since its opening, Among Friends ADHC remains at the forefront of quality services and the largest ADHC in Ventura County. To provide our participants with a supportive, nurturing, family-centered environment that promotes wellness, independence, self-esteem and recognizes and celebrates the value of the individual.
Among Friends ADHC employs a multidisciplinary team of highly trained health professionals who conduct a comprehensive assessment of each potential patient to determine and plan ADHC services needed to meet the individual's specific health, physical, mental, and social needs.
Services provided at the center include: medical services; nursing services; physical, occupational and speech therapy; psychiatric and psychological services; social services; planned recreational and social activities; hot meal and nutritional counseling; and transportation to and from the center.

One or more chronic or post acute medical, cognitive, or mental health condition(s) requiring monitoring, treatment, without which participant's condition will likely deteriorate & require ER visits & /or hospitalization. A need for assistance or supervision in addition to any non-ADHC support received in the home related to the medical / mental health condition.
Evaluates the participant's physical condition and functional status. Establishes a realistic goal and sets up a treatment plan to administer occupational therapy techniques as prescribed by the referring physician. Provides occupational therapy treatment. Instructs and demonstrates to family and others the occupational therapy and rehabilitation procedures indicated.
