Not a great facility to recommend, unfortunately. My boyfriend went there just out of the hospital. He only stayed 2 nights then had someone come get him ASAP. The food was awful, and the staff rarely responded when he hit the help buzzer. They just left him in his room - basically ignoring him. Never heard anything good about this facility from anyone in any of the hospitals, or any person. Sad to say.

My mom has been admitted to Victoria Care Center 2 times. She loves the nurses and tells me they take good care of her. Anytime she rings for a nurse. They respond right away. I have never witnessed any neglect or abuse with any of the patients. The elderly are hard to please. But my mother Sylvia Sundquist had no complaints. You can't believe everything you read. I had my doubts from reading bad reviews. But I asked her about it. She told me it was not true. They are very nice and take good care of her.

My mom has been in there a week now and she is very unhappy with her stay. It takes forever for them to answer your light to get help. The food is terrible, the ice cream they give you is like soup. She's been asking for toilet paper and water in her room and she waites sometimes 40 minutes or longer just to get it. I have called to get a hold of my mom and continuously the phone rings and rings and it takes forever to get someone on the other line or you get the answering machine over and over again. Definitely understaffed! My mom has only seen the doctor when she was checked in and that's it

As a former employee, I have to say that VCC is better than other facilities I've volunteered at. They attempt to do the right thing (sometimes) but they always fall short. What needs to be done (in every facility) is give their employees less patients. I would have 13 patients who all needed a lot of attention. I also had the misfortune of seeing the facility overwork their employees. They don't give much regard to how many shifts we work. When placing anyone at a SNF just realize not all needs will be met due to staffing issues. That is a nationwide issue, not just here. Also, the pictures of

DO NOT LET A LOVED ONE STAY HERE! Our mom came here after she woke from a coma, because of a fractured hip. Other then that she was fine. She left this facility with a large infected bedsore. It was not documented in her charts until she was being released. Not even our dad was told. He was there every day. Which led to a blood infection and a little more then a week later our mom passed away. Not 2 weeks before we visited her. She was awake, alert, talking and eating. During our visit she called the caregivers evil and wanted to come home. We also discovered a friction burn on her thumb, where

My experience was horrible, like a nightmare that would not end. It started by being transported from the CMH hospital to Victoria Care Center arriving between 5 and 6 pm. I was not given pain meds before being transported. the head nurse (at Victoria Care Center)would not give me my pain meds because he claimed the order had not been approved by the pharmacy. I don't understand how you can transfer the person but not have their pain meds approved for the patient following a 9 hour back surgery. Every hour as I layed crying for help, I asked for my pain meds, only to be told the pharmacy was closed

I recently attended VCC and words can not describe my experience. The nursing staff in London station were amazing and eagerly attended to my every need. Especially the young man who worked in the afternoon. Not so much the ladies in the morning. But besides them I had a wonderful experience and recovered from back surgery with flying results
