Services
Hope and Healing Counseling Center, LLC, I offers counseling services to meet whatever your needs may be. If you want individual counseling or couples counseling, this is the place for you. I specialize in trauma counseling using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, couples counseling, and Christian counseling.
Could you use an expert opinion on what you're going through, or a nonjudgmental ear just to listen? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then individual counseling could be the solution you've been seeking. Individual therapy differs from group or alternative therapy methods in the way that you are the sole focus of a single counselor who helps you develop and achieve your goals for therapy.
Many people will experience trauma in their lifetime whether it's a car accident, physical abuse, sexual abuse, extreme verbal or emotional abuse, neglect, the sudden death of a loved one, a violent criminal act, exposure to the violence of war, or a natural disaster.
While many people can recover from trauma over time with the love and support of family and friends and bounce back with resiliency, others may discover effects of lasting trauma, which can cause a person to live with deep emotional pain, fear, confusion, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Complex PTSD, and/or dissociation long after the event has passed.

According to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) occurs in adults, adolescents, and children older than six years. Not everyone who experiences or witnesses traumatic events or abuse develop PTSD.

Relationships can be rewarding and a positive experience, but they are also hard work. They require time, patience, and forgiveness to keep them running smoothly. It takes a great deal of effort from both partners to have a happy, healthy relationship. We've all seen the movies where two people meet, fall in love, get married, and live happily ever after.
