Services
I realize that no two people are the same and as such tailor my therapy to meet the specific needs of my clients. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression or any other issue, I will help you recognize underlying problems, fully realize your strengths and adjust certain behaviors and thoughts to see things a different, healthier way.
Do you find yourself on high alert or easily startled? Is your first reaction to run from a situation, fight with others, or feel frozen in failure? Are you angry or fearful towards particular people or places? If you long for a sense of peace and safety and have a desire to learn better ways to cope, then we can help.
Are you struggling to get through the day without being overwhelmed with loss (of a loved one, a relationship, a dream, etc.)? Or are you trying to "get over it" in unhealthy ways? Grief is not something to "overcome", it is a process of finding your "new normal". We can walk through this journey together.
No one wants to admit they get angry, especially when it gets out of control and hurts the ones we love. If you answered yes to any of the above questions, it may be time to consider anger management therapy. Anger issues aren't uncommon and the first step towards change is admittance of the problem.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR therapy is an integrative psychotherapy and uses a technique called bilateral stimulation to repeatedly activate opposite sides of the brain.

I am writing on behalf of April Hill. I had the pleasure of previously working with April at the Community Counseling Center in Ashtabula, Ohio. She is an excellent co-worker and counselor. Any client that she had contact with had positive feedback about her. I admire her counseling style, as she is very calm and reassuring. I believe she is truly meant for this field. Being a case manager at my previous job with April, we shared a lot of the same clients, who all spoke highly of April. Our clients expressed feeling calm and comforted by April. April has the utmost respect for the field and the
