I spent the weekend with my daughter and a friend at The Spinnaker and was VERY pleased with this motel. Extremely clean, very nice staff, and great location. It is apparent that the motel takes pride in the quality of its rooms for its patrons. Bedroom and bathroom were spotless. Beds were very comfortable and balcony was roomy.
Malia's Cafe has a very friendly atmosphere and great food.glut. I truly cannot say enough great things about The Spinnaker! My boyfriend and I visited Ocean City as first timers this past weekend and didn't really know what to expect but we feel so lucky that we stumbled upon this gem on 18th Street!

Everything we were hoping for and more! The customer service was exceptional! We received a very warm welcome upon arrival! Parking was spacious, and we witnessed a staff member sweeping every space (to remove sand and leaves) daily! They provide hotel style garment carts-for your luggage. The pool was sparkling clean, and very inviting. Our room was EXTREMELY CLEAN! There’s a full kitchen with a microwave, stove, toaster, coffee machine and more! There was a great cable lineup, and free WiFi. The balcony was spacious with two chairs and a small beverage table. There’s a full size table with

This is not a luxury hotel but it delivers all of the necessities for a comfortable beach stay. Even though the rooms show wear and tear they were clean and comfortable. The location is just 1/2 block from both the beach and the boardwalk. Staff at the desk for my check -in were professional and polite. The pool is small but met our needs. This was my second time staying here and I would return again. A little disappointed with the front desk staff on the day we checked out who flat out refused to grant us a mere 15 minute extension to our check out time.

Rude service at front desk, didn't bother greeting and gave me a death glare all because I asked if it was possible to extend my stay. I was told that it would not be possible but was not given an explanation just a glare. The pool isn't even a pool and the place is falling apart in some areas. Don't recommend.

We have not stayed here, so this review is just for the fantastic job they do in keeping everything neat, clean and "neighborly."
We recently moved into a condo next door and were thrilled to find that they do such a wonderful job regularly sweeping off the parking lot, cleaning their swimming pool and responding to noise disturbances. They are a great neighbor!
They also have a very nice little cafe (Malia's) that offers a number of healthy choices for breakfast and lunch.
We just wanted to say "hello" and "thanks!"

Would be 4 stars if it wasn’t for that club.. the rooms were nice size the kitchen got the job done and the location being by the beach and in walking distance to the boards is really clutch. the cafe on the bottom has banging breakfast also. there was a few issues due to staffing and what not but the workers who i brought it up to took care of it and showed great customer service so i will be coming back hopefully i will be closer to the ocean side next time.

Would definitely stay again. Rooms were clean, a tad outdated but we didn't spend much time in the room anyway. When we were there, we felt clean and comfortable. Felt bad that we left so much sand in the room, maybe supply the rooms with brooms? We had to put towels down so we could walk in the kitchen area without getting sand on us. Overall it was good! great price for being super close to the beach and boardwalk. Came with full size refrigerator,stove and table if you would rather eat in. The balcony and ocean view was a nice bonus, didn't expect all of that for the price we paid!

The people at the front desk were very friendly and made sure we had everything in the room we needed. They made sure we promptly got sheets for the couch bed, and an extra mattress, plus additional towels. The room was pricey for how old the rooms look, but the room was very clean and it was nice to have the kitchenette. The location to the beach and access to lots of food spots was perfect. Great view from our balcony. The rooms could use some updating, but we enjoyed the stay.

We were staying elsewhere further down the boardwalk, but prices got out of hand. This is our second stay here since we liked it the first time. The prices are reasonable and the rooms are spacious, with a kitchen......full fridge, stove, sink & microwave. The balcony faces the ocean. The place is a little dated, but very clean. My only peeve is the bathroom. They need more hooks to hang clothes and towel. Nearby plenty of places to eat, but if we want to go down the end, we drove and parked rather that walk so far. We will return, and they are great at the front desk.

My family and I just spent our second stay at The Spinnaker and have now had two great stays here. The hotel is very clean. The rooms are spacious and full of everything you would need from the sofa bed, to dining table/chairs, to a stocked kitchenette. The bedspreads are washed for every guest, and this is not a common thing to find in hotels. The rooms are quiet and I've never been disturbed by noise in the middle of the night. It's a great family spot.

I have to say that I have never been more pleased with a hotel experience.
We arrived later in the evening on 8/18 and I was very much ready to lay down. We have 3 kids and needed a room sleep all of us. We gave our kids the beds and we took the sofa bed. After pulling it out we realized how worn down it was. Unfortunately, I have a lot of back issues due to some injuries. I knew if I attempted to sleep on it I would be in trouble. My husband went down to the front desk to ask if there was a different mattress available. The man at the front

We loved the heated pool, outdoor lounge, and private balcony. We were on the fence at first with our reservation but really had a wonderful time being able to just walk right out to the beach and down the boardwalk. Our 9 year old and 7 year old said it was their new favorite hotel and we've been to quite a few! We would surely stay at the Spinnaker again and want to thank everyone that worked their for their eagerness to make us comfortable and friendliness. We left with such fond memories!

Stayed here for one night over the weekend (3 adults, 1 toddler). Room was clean, except for under the bed there was a lot of fuzz balls, probably off the linen. The linen was fest, without stains, and there was 4 pillows her bed. Only down falls is it only a partial ocean view, and the one elevator is extremely small. Staff was friendly. I would recommend staying here!

This place is ideal for Senior Week and those on a budget. I don't fit into either category. I went as a "chaperone". I personally hated my time here. Due to its location it was always loud, but it was literally right on the sidewalk and the beach. The breakfast at the cafe downstairs was the best part about staying here (their omelettes are really good)!
On the other hand, I think the room size and single bathroom is unrealistic for 6 girls to live in for a week, especially if housekeeping doesn't visit the room. And if you have minors in the room, someone from housekeeping

I liked it! It's not a five star hotel, but it really gets you what you need, including:
- Parking
- Restaurant with great breakfast at bottom of hotel
- It's clean. They're always cleaning.
- AC
- 5 steps from boardwalk
- Balcony
- Kitchenette with a fridge
- Pool
- Deck with cool space where you can have drinks with a group or just hang out
I can be picky with hotels, but overall had a great experience here and would come back.

I called ahead and asked if they had any ocean view rooms. The desk clerk assured me "all of our rooms are ocean view." "Ocean view" turned out to mean a view of the parking lot; if you went outside onto the balcony and stood up, you could see a bit of the ocean, but there's another hotel in between that mostly blocks your view. I don't think it's reasonable to advertise rooms as "ocean view" if you can't see the ocean unless you're standing up on the balcony. I realize any room in Ocean City in the summer is overpriced, but I felt ripped off

Rooms are clean. Free parking. Close to beach & is right off the boardwalk maybe 50 yards. Ocean view means...side view but you could see it. From the hotel to the end of the boardwalk where the rides are is 1.69 miles, there is a shuttle bus on the boardwalk for $3 a trip per person... just wave it down to get on and raise your hand to get off & it will stop.
Air conditioning worked but wasn't super cold, which luckily when we were there temps were in 70's so manageable. Water pressure was great! The elevators were horrible- small, slow and clunky noises- we took the stairs

My husband and our three children stayed here for 4 days 3 nights . Researched a few places and made reservations here a week in advance . Easy to get to and perfect location . Walk to beach , Boardwalk , and many nearby restaurants and attractions . The room was adequate size and clean . Like some motels it could use a little updating but over all clean and staff was very nice

Cons: The pool area is very very small. The beds are way too soft and the sofa bed is your classic uncomfortable bed with springs digging in your back. I ended up sleeping on the floor. There is only one elevator for each building, which is very small and super slow. So if you stay here, I would opt for a lower floor. We stayed on the fifth floor and ended up taking the stairs with all of our luggage. The wait was way too long. Nasty changing rooms if you opt to use them if you get there before check in or want to leave after check in and want to shower and change after the beach.
