Blair Counseling & Mediation
Blair Counseling and Mediation works to provide tools that can be used to save relationships. Kids are deeply affected by adult or child depression, anxiety, behavior problems, conflict, and divorce. We like, value and care for our clients. We want to communicate understanding and compassion. We need to work on your goals, not ours.

Most importantly, we must get feedback regarding the client's experience of the alliance and progress. According to the most thorough reviews of the empirical literature, the most reliable predictor of successful counseling is not technique or the counselor; it is the quality of alliance between client and counselor.
Services
Do you have thoughts of killing yourself or someone else? If you have such thoughts, talk to a counselor or doctor as soon as possible. If you have a plan or may act on your thoughts, call 911. Loss of energy or motivation prevents work from getting done. It leads to irritable moods, feelings of guilt, relationship problems, and disrupted sleep.
Do you feel unappreciated or do you find it difficult to stop dwelling on mistreatment, injustices or prior failures? Do you have distinct episodes of feeling on edge, shaky, or a pounding heart, shortness of breath, or tightness in your chest? Do your hands feel cold or clammy, or your mouth dry, stomach upset, or do you have urinary frequency, or trouble swallowing?
Do you have distinct episodes of feeling on edge, shaky, or a pounding heart, shortness of breath, or tightness in your chest? Do your hands feel cold or clammy, or your mouth dry, stomach upset, urinary frequency, or trouble swallowing? Fueled by stress hormones, anxiety combines worry with uncomfortable and at times intolerable physical sensations.
Does your child get easily distracted by noise or events that are easily ignored by others? Kids today are exposed to more problems than a generation ago thanks to the internet, cable, and cell phones. Even if kids have limited access to the media, they are still exposed to it through the activity and conversation of their peers.
Do you feel bad emotionally or physically when stopping the behavior or substance for a period of time? Do you set limits on the behavior or substance use but change your mind later and exceed those limits? Does the time spent on the behavior or in obtaining or using a substance, or in recovering from its effects take a lot of time?
