It's a small style family owned martial arts studio. They were offering classes via zoom due to covid and also in person following necessary protocols. My 15 yr old grandson attends. He's never taken any martial arts or self defense classes or sports classes before. He loves his karate class. At the time of this post he's beginning 3rd month.

Completely neglectful and unprofessional establishment! I wanted to enroll my 3 yr old in the BAMS Little Ninja's, age 3-6 program. I spoke more with Professor Bam, the owner, for more info and although there were many other programs nearby, I chose to support, even though it was 30+ mins away. He even mentioned how his son started as a toddler at the gym. However, I quickly realized they have no idea how to run a class for 3 year olds.

We found BAMS during a difficult season of our family's life. My son started Kung Fu with the BAMS in 2017 and he loves it! The professor and Master K are professional, organized, and thorough. They are truly committed to the program and wanting the best out of the kids that attend. Master K is great with my son and she doesn't play around. Allowing my son to learn, discipline, focus , and respect. I am happy I found this program. My son is bi-racial and the group is very diverse which is also what attracted me. They are also very experienced and the best at what they do. Great program for ALL ages.

I'm glad someone is telling the truth about this school and its instructors! I too have been a victim of the self proclaim "professor bam" and Kimber Johnson. I will encourage anyone thinking about joining this school to ask former parents about their experience or other martial arts schools. This is not a good place. There are some good martial arts schools in Columbia and Laurel Maryland but is not one of them. I can honestly say professor bam is a very good martial artist but his teachings,actions and thirst for financial gain really brings down this school.

I found The BAMs four years ago in my search for an intense workout. From the moment I arrived I knew I was in the right place. It has been an awesome journey with both personal highs and lows. Martial Arts was something new for me coming from a ballet background. They actually helped me find ways to blend the two and feel comfortable in class. I would say this has been a great experience for me and I really appreciate all of the hard work and life lessons along the way. Excellent school for children and adults interested in martial arts.

My 6 year old son loves the Bams and is always excited to learn more. My son refers The Bams as his family, ( his brothers and his teachers). An only child never exposed to this type of environment, welcomed the first day. Self confidence, attitude, respect, and honor are important to him...Its amazing how a 6 year old respects and honor his Creed, his professor and Masters and his peers. I've seen my son blossom into an honorable respectable intelligent 6 year old boy destined for success and determined to do more, be more.

Bams Martial Arts and Fitness is a great place for children ages 2 and up to learn martial arts. My daughter Trinity has improved in being assertive, student helper overall skilled in class. It's truly amazing to see how much Trinity has bloomed over the years with Ms. Kimber and Professor Bam. We are excited to be apart of this winning team. This school is really great for young children. I was told by a few other martial arts centers that my son was to young to be in a kung fu class. But not at the BAMS center! This is a family owned and operated business with world champion black belt, vetted individuals that teach not just martial arts but true values to youth and adults. My son, now 4 years old has learned a lot about respect, unity, and has gained knowledge that I am sure he will take with him many years to come!
