In an environment where most schools focus on winning tournaments or becoming the next UFC star, we focus on the core values of martial arts. These values are designed not only to help make you a better person, but someone who can carry his or herself with confidence! Focus, discipline, coordination, high self-esteem, leadership skills, higher grades, and physical fitness are all byproducts of the META programs.
Our studio is named META, because META means beyond. Our focus goes beyond just kicks and punches. We pride ourselves in assisting in the development of wonderful children. We have seen many children that came out of our program grow to become wonderful, successful adults. Adults who come back, and ask us to train their children.

He received this award annually from 1991-1994 until his instructor told him he would not be awarded it again because it was unfair to the rest of the instructors in the studio.During this time Dan learned how to run a successful martial arts studio through many hours of teaching all ages while managing the behind the scenes responsibilities of a martial arts studio.

The META approach to teaching children is different than most studios. Most studios place their children into an environment where discipline and respect are enforced, but not necessarily taught. The META approach is to put a child into a friendly, education environment where discipline and respect are a byproduct of the time spent in class working hard and towards reaching a set of goals.
Wanted to take the time to share what great training our daughter has received over the past 8 years with Dan at META Martial arts. Her training has built her confidence as she has progressed from a cub white belt at age 4 to Second Degree Junior Black Belt at age 13. Dan's studio is not only the place where she trains but where she has learned to set and work towards achieving attainable goals.

My son started leaning Kenpo Karate at Meta Martial Arts when he was 4 years old. He's 8 now and loves it as much or more then when he first started. I used to take and teach Kenpo when I was a younger man, so I started teaching him at home when he was 3 years old. But I knew he'd be better off learning at a proper school, by someone other than me, and I know how important it is for kids to work with other children who are older/ bigger and younger/ smaller. Not to mention the fact that the owner/ operator of Meta (Dan Meck) is well known and respected around the globe for his contributions to
