I’ve been going to Shawon for 4 months now every 2 weeks. I have always been hesitant about going to the salon to get my hair done because I have so much hair that most don’t know how to do it right. The first thing that drew me in was her own thick hair that was styled beautifully. I knew then that this was someone that could handle the large amount of hair that I have.

I visited SP HairCare for the first time today and enjoyed my time with Shawon. She is very knowledgable and was able to quickly access the condition of my hair. She suggested a treatment plan for my visit, and, provided information about products I can use at home. After my relaxer and cut my hair felt great- silky and smooth just the way I like it! I came here in December for a virgin hair relaxer. I was very happy with the initial result but less satisfied with how it turned out afterwards. While Shawon was very hospitable, I think she may have sensed that since I was a college student I wouldn't be a returning patron, so she wasn't that attentive. For a while, I went to get my hair done and the Dominicans on Jimmy Carter to get my hair done but the waiting is ridiculous. I would have to go at 9am to be able to leave by 2pm.
