Come meet and visit with our amazing and loving crew awaiting to help you with all of your fur baby needs large and small! Dr. Richardson has worked in the Veterinary profession since 1975. In fact this is the only field he has ever worked in, demonstrating his devine destiny.
He has been on the College of Veterinary Medicine Zoological and Wildlife Advisory panel and currently serves as a mentor/facilitator on the Veterinary school's Ethics Panel.Dr. Knight grew up just south of San Antonio near Somerset, Texas. She always had a love for animals that developed into an interest in veterinary medicine as she grew older.

We are so glad you have chosen us as your animals care provider. It truly is our mission to treat your animal family member the way you want him or her treated, whether we can provide that level, or consultation or referral are required. To help us properly get started in this relationship please provide us with all previous medical records or at least the name and phone number of the clinic(s).
As a new client of our Veterinary Clinic in Bandera, you can expect our full attention to your pets' needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll usher you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the doctor.
We try to have a doctor available for your calls 24/7 BUT due to the fact that we are NOT a 24 hour facility and our doctors need to be prepared for our regular daytime duties we often have to refer some of the more serious or late night calls to one of the nearby emergency clinics. We know these seem to be a long way off but in reality they are no farther than the ER you would be attending yourself.
Dr. Harper joins our team, as needed, to perform many advanced surgeries we formerly had to send our clients to San Antonio for. Though boarded in Large Animal surgery, Dr. Harper's recent focus has been on small animal surgery in an attempt to be one of the few double boarded surgeons in the country.

We have been going to Bandera Vet Clinic for over 20 years. It is 50 miles from where we live. We went to see Dr. Richardson when we were in a bind with a pet that needed care. We've been going ever since. A country Vet with staff that is always genuine and caring especially through the most difficult of times. It is a scenic Hill country drive and to me very much worth the distance and extra gas.

Had a scare with our Standard Poodle around 5:15 on a Friday. We were visiting Bandera from out of town. Called and they said head on in. They took great care of our puppy, checked and diagnosed the problem. Luckily nothing serious. Had a great experience with Veterinarian and staff. Great service and relieved they could see us last minute on a Friday evening. Highly recommend.
