Our building was originally built in 1946 and was home to Boerne Locker Plant and Market. In 1977 Dr. Ray Smart converted the building into a full-service veterinary hospital and established Boerne Veterinary Clinic. Throughout the years this building has been improved and has grown into the bustling practice we know today.

We were in town from Orlando, visiting family, when my dog began coughing persistently. Even the day after a long holiday weekend, they were able to squeeze us in. We have moved quite a bit and my dog has been to many vets. This by far was our best experience. Dr. Johnson was thorough, kind, and informative. She listened to all of our concerns and addressed each one. Even though they were busy, we weren’t rushed at all. Highly recommend!

I have never left a review for a business before but felt compelled to do so to show our overwhelming gratitude. We are from Houston and was spending time at our ranch in Boerne when our 14yr old dog took a turn for the worse right before Thanksgiving. We knew that a day would come when we would have to make the tough decision to put her down. I called almost every vet in the area and either all were full or could not get her in before the holiday. Finally I called Boerne Vet Clinic and even though they were full and about to close, they got us in. I can’t explain how good they were to our dog

I take my puppy here as her main vet and she is always so happy to see such kind people come up to her and love on her before she gets checked up on. The staff is so professional and know what to do to calm my puppy down without making her feel unsafe. I recommend taking your pets here!

This is our first week in Boerne, our dog Angel was having digestive issues. I called at 8:00 am, was seen at 8:30. Dr. Mellin and the staff were awesome! Very friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. I was totally blown away with getting in right away being a new patient! I was prescribed food on the spot. Angel came home and ate it right away! Thank you Boerne Veterinary Clinic!

We are new to Boerne, and I guess our little mini schnauzer is having trouble with allergies. As brand new patients at Boerne Vet, we were greeted & made to feel right at home. Our little Jase was terribly nervous & 2of the vet techs came out to the waiting room to play with him - he calmed down immediately. When we were ushered back to see Dr. Miner, he felt at ease. She was so professional and friendly and knowledgeable. All in all, we are very pleased with our new Vet & know we have our babies in good hands!

This clinic genuinely cares about all the pets that walk in the building and don't overbook when they are full. I appreciate that because that means they'll be able to concentrate fully on each pet without feeling rushed. I also recognize the US has an issue with vet clinics being stretched thin currently due to the pandemic. Thank y'all for all that you do.
