This is the 3rd time we gave been here since we moved to Jax and our first review of Sushi Bear.
Their Sushi is very fresh and the Hibachi is very good as well. The meats are tender and the vegetables are not overcooked; they still have a crunch to them. It is one of our favorite restaurants in Jax.

Best sushi in town! Sushi bear has an extremely clean environment as well as attentive and friendly staff. They also have a very pretty sushi display for every plate!

This is my current favorite sushi place. You walk in and immediately get a complimentary, cool sushi appetizer. They also give soup to everyone at your table. Big sized room with booths and tables. Service is really quick and food is consistently good. Prices are unbeatable, especially their lunch deals. My nieces favorites are the Vegetable Tempura meal and Teriyaki Chicken. I like the sushi rolls; Rock n Roll is my number one pick, and sashimi. We ate here on our way to southern Florida. We are planning our whole return trip on coming back here! This is by far the best sushi place we have been too! Ingredients are fresh, service is amazing and fast. Everything was so full of flavor. Can’t wait to come back!

One of the best if not the best lunch time restaurants on the Westside of Jacksonville, Florida. Great establishment with great customer service and even better food. You can not beat the the lunch time special. It's to the best. They also offer military discount. If you are at NAS, this is the place to go to for lunch. 5 out of 5 for customer service, taste and price.

After a few visits to Sushi Bear over the last year or so this restaurant has easily earned five stars. I went for my third visit yesterday with my friend Rebecca and it was spot on. Before I could even take a good look at the lunch specials (offered on a Sunday, major plus!) they had placed a free appetizer and two soups in front of us to enjoy. The appetizer was a yummy fried Krab stick with seafood sauce/eel sauce on the outside. It was fresh, hot and very tasty. I've been here before. Not sure if I ever did a check in and review. So, I am going to do so now. I met my Yelp friend, Austin O. here today at noon. We were given a complimentary appetizer of crab stick tempura. I ordered a small hot Saki to start our meal and conversation. We had appetizers(I had veggie tempura and he had Tuna Tartar), then we both ordered the 3 sushi combo lunch. With that came soup and a salad. I ALWAYS choose ginger salad dressing. All was very good. Service was impeccable.

We've been coming here for the last 5 years and have never been disappointed. The staff and atmosphere are nothing like any other sushi restaurant in the area!

The wait staff was very friendly. The food was made to order. We had five rolls and it made them exactly how we wanted. There was a short wait as the restaurant gets crowded on Friday nights! The parking lot was clean and easy to park.

I LOVE this place so much. The portions are amazing, prices are fair, quality is spectacular, tentative service, wonderful ambience, and just all round phenomenal. My favorite place for sushi. When I leave here full, it’s not only rice, but actual ingredients of the sushi. Everything I want in a sushi spot is right here.

Sushi bear has the quickest service, some of the greatest Japanese food and a very pleasant atmosphere. Where do I begin? This past year, I unearthed my love for Japanese food. OMG! My new fav spot! Food was delicious! Beautiful presentation, quality and quantity, and don’t get me started on the fried cheesecake 🤤 our first time ordering from here so we took the safe route and ordered hibachi (grilled chicken & shrimp and teriyaki steak) but we will definitely be back and will be ordering sushi and…fried cheesecake again!

A coworker recommended this place ages ago and since then I've been a solid half a dozen times. One of the things I really appreciate is the consistency. It's good ALL the time! Always tastes fresh, always great service and always ready to come back!

They typically bring you a little plate of sushi before you order just as a snack which I love. The meals also come with miso soup and a salad. I love that ginger dressing they use! It's so light

So our regular spot was closed so we came here as I have heard lots of good things. My son and I came in and were seated right away. Lots of staff working the dining area. They brought clear soup out right after we picked out drinks. They also dropped off a complimentary appetizer which was a holiday roll (jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese and salmon drizzled with sauces.) We ordered the tempura chicken and vegetable appetizer which was very good and a chicken Katsu roll for my son (non seafood eater.) We both ordered hibachi with him getting steak and chicken and myself the steak and salmon.

After reading all the good reviews we had to stop in and try some sushi. Our service was good and you get several complimentary eats(who doesn't like free stuff!). Edamame, soup, and some kind of fried thing. It was really good.

We ordered a sushi love boat and also a lobster roll. There was 4 of us and we all agreed we should have asked for ranch dressing with our salads because their ginger dressing was the worst we ever had. Some of the sashimi was sliced too thick. And overall we've just had better sushi.

Service was quick and on point. We received some soup while we were trying to figure out what we wanted to order. And then we received a complimentary roll while waiting for our food! And it was VERY GOOD!

We got edamame for an appetizer (it was a LARGE portion) and it was salted nicely! We also got some Sake, but for the life of me I cant remember the name of it now (thats what I get for waiting a month after our visit to write up the review-ugh).

You always have a main waitress/waiter. But you will be helped by every person in there. The service is the best of any restaurant that I have ever been to. There isn't any on the menu that isn't great. Even with as busy as they were for a Saturday night, we left very full & satisfied.

On the hunt for the perfect hibachi, a few Yelp reviews lead me to Sushi Bear Sushi & Grill. Our party of SEVEN was promptly seated without issue or delay. The whole staff was masked and very attentive. They even provided a couple of appetizers "on the house". Our drinks stayed full and the food was pretty good! Their brown rice was sticky and the shrimp were plump. The best part was the birthday display they put on for my daughter. The staff dimmed the lights and lit a HUGE firework-like candle that sparkled atop a free slice of cake. The whole staff delightfully sang happy

I love this place! Sushi Bear is the best hibachi and sushi in town and i have been to a lot of sushi places! Their staff is awesome
and when you dine in everyone works as a team! i have never had such an outstanding experience!

This spot is located in a shopping center with plenty of parking and other dining spots. I only did take-out and glad I did because it was super crowded in there.

However, the most important part for me was the food and they did not disappoint. I had the shrimp and scallop hibachi that came with clear soup, salad, noodles and rice-I also ordered a dynamite roll. The hibachi portions are huge and everything was great. There was more food ordered so we recieved a free sushi roll that was also great. I ordered the coconut shrimp and it was very official. They actually had it battered with coconut
