We stayed in room 127 it was beautiful location! You can wake up and see the water and all the boats. Light sleepers beware as some of the lobster boats start up and leave very early in the morning. Didn’t bother me and my wife fell back to sleep! We will defiantly be coming back to this hotel either pre-Christmas or summer time. The Tug Boat restaurant was very good and convenient! Room was small but that was fine. Very clean!

We love The Tugboat Inn! Very comfortable accommodations and delicious food in the pub or the restaurant. Ideal view of the harbor. Very kind and efficient staff. Bonnie Stover does a great job keeping the whole operation running like clockwork. We eat there as often as we can when in the Harbor.

This review is for the restaurant. We were able to get takeout from them 2 times, the food was very good. However the last 2 times we called they refused to do a take out order. Saturday they said they were “ too busy “, and tonight ( Sunday) they just said “ no takeout “

The choice to eat outside on a cool, overcast, and windy day perhaps wasn't the best idea, but the outside seating was nice regardless. I got the lobster roll which was perfectly serviceable, with nice fresh lobster meat which I would expect on the coast. My companion got mussels which he really enjoyed. Tugboat was so much more affordable than the other, more touristy spot we were originally going to go to, which just proves you don't have to compromise quality for affordability.

Location, room, and service was great. The room was clean and had a great view. Water pressure in the shower was very nice. Each room has their own set of chairs just outside on the balcony to watch the sunset. Highly recommend.

Motel: My room ended up being directly above the lounge where they were advertising a live band. I asked about another room and was told they were completely sold out. I was also promised they stopped at 10:00 pm and were a "good band".

As it turned out, l did like the music played by the band (of course I could hear then through the floor) & they were not so loud that I couldn't concentrate, so it was fine. The decor of the room was somewhat dated but it was reasonably clean so no complaints. The location was really great & they don't charge extra for parking in

Inn- great location. The rooms are kinda dated and smells musty. Carpet in a hotel is kinda gross.

Restaurant- I felt so bad they were short staffed. Drinks were ok. The chowder and bisque were delicious. Food was good. We are from New England so appreciate the sea food. We met a group from GA who said it was the best meal they had!

Do not attempt to go here if you're single. They are so rude. The only reason they have any business is because everything else is closed. The food doesn't look that good and the prices are too high. Get à frozen pizza instead.

Only outdoor patio seating was available when we visited and what a gorgeous view. Best lobster rolls we had all week. We've eaten here before; never a disappointment.

The location of this hotel is optimal and the bed was comfortable. I parked at the hotel and most shops I visited were within a 10 min walking distance, which was convenient. The Tugboat Restaurant was on the property too, which made dinner convenient. The decor of the hotel room was outdated but looking out of the window, you had an awesome view of the harbor.

We stopped here today, since we wanted something different and memorable! It definitely did not disappoint! The food came out fast and tasty, we were waited on by our attentive waitress and other staff during very busy times. I even ate squash which is something that I've never liked, but I had one bite and I had to get my own! It was my hubby's Birthday and I wanted it to be special, Definitely spot on! Now we want to stay here!

This review is for Dining.
At first we went to the top deck bar, but it was full.
So we went below, this was a Tug Boat, and waited till five.
We were first to be seated when dining started. By 5:10 the restaurant was fully seated.
We chose baked scallops with bread crumbs and a Fetachini Alfredo pasta with lobster, scallops and shrimp.

Both were Fantastico. The service was excellent and pleasant.

Great meal!

Tugboat has been an experience so far. Visited here back in 2016, 2017, and today I work here, and its been fantastic. The INN, the restaurant, the food, the view. I mean, I could go on and on. To really grasp the breathtaking experience, you'd have to make your visit on your bucket list!

Our stay at the Tugboat Inn was pleasant. This is a very basic motel so don't expect much other than a bed and bathroom basically. No drip coffee machine but a Keurig. AC was functional. Clean. The personal is friendly and attentive to your needs. VIEWS you do wake up to beautiful views of the harbor. he property has a wrapped around deck on second floor that is worth checking as you get really good views of the harbor at the end. LOCATION is awesome. It's really tough to find parking in the area so staying here pretty much guarantees a parking spot and from here you can walk to everything the

Been eating here two or three times a week for the past three weeks and everything has been great but apparently during a pandemic when people aren't supposed to be indoors without a mask they are not doing takeout anymore... This is ridiculous we have kids and are trying not to expose them unnecessarily. It seems like every decent restaurant in Boothbay has a similar policy at dinner time and no delivery not sure how these restaurants are going to survive.

We booked last minute here for a single nights stay. The room was comfortable and we had great harbour views. The location to downtown is perfect and easily walkable but enough outside the main bussel of everything. The staff was great. The pub had live music the night we stayed which was nice. Good place to stay for your weekend get away.

Great location in Boothbay Harbor. Our room was on the 3rd floor. View was awesome. Easy 5 minute walk to local restaurants and shopping. Large bathroom, our room equipped with small refrigerator. The balcony had 2 chairs to enjoy the view. Disappointed that nothing was mentioned prior to arrival that you have to check in at their other hotel to get keys. Additionally, we were given paper stating our room would not be cleaned during our stay. Didn't mention this during check in. We could call down for their room amenities as needed. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again if in the

We all had a great time. Everything was so fresh and tasty.
We ordered Mussels as an appetizer. I did not have time to take a pic. The sauce was delicious and the Mussels were fresh.
We also ordered a blueberry pie and a Chocolate Lava cake after the dinner.
Everything was so good. The staff was very nice and friendly.
This restaurant is located on the harbor. It was a foggy day, so we would like to come back on a sunny day and try more seafood dishes.

Came to the upstairs deck with a group of 6 on a Friday for happy hour and dinner. It is first come first serve so no use in making a reservation. It would help if they had a host/hostess at the top because it was so busy and no one was managing the line of customers waiting for a table. I ended up talking to the bartender who was making drinks and also waiting on tables but that seemed to worked. It was just very disorganized.

Food and drinks were pretty average but worth it for the view of Boothbay during sunset! I got the blueberry mojito and clam chowder. Our waitress was super busy (waiting

Old school is the fist thing that comes to mind. It is an actual tugboat, which is cool but it needs some updating. We had a lovely view overlooking the water, always a plus. The food was ok. I started with the clam chowder. It was rich & creamy with just the right amount of clams & potatoes. For my entree I got the cesar salad w/ steamed salmon. The salad was fine but the steamed salmon was not good. It was under cooked, under seasoned & very underwhelming. It's really nothing special and if I'm in the Boothbay area again, I would go somewhere else.
