Hershire Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Hummelstown, Pennsylvania area for everything pet-related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Meghan Myers, who is a licensed, experienced veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep their pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Hershire Animal Hospital believes in providing comprehensive care throughout your pet's entire life. We provide everything from preventative annual veterinary care to emergency and critical care services. Hershire Animal Hospital offers discounted services to service animals and local area rescue groups.
Your pet should be examined once to twice yearly for a thorough check up from head to tail. If you are a new client coming to Hershire Animal Hospital, please bring any medical history you have on your pet. We can also call your previous veterinarian to request to have your pet records sent directly to us.
We know there are times when finances can be a challenge. Hershire Animal Hospital is committed to providing the best possible care for your pet. We also know sometimes the needs of a pet can exceed your budget and an important part of our mission is to work with your budget. We respect your decisions and want you to feel at ease when discussing the cost of services with us.
If your pet has an emergency during normal office hours, please call us right away. If you have an after hours emergency and your pet needs immediate medical attention, pleas call one of the emergency hospitals listed below. Hershire Animal Hospital works closely with the emergency hospitals and will receive updates from the emergency clinic on your pet's condition when we re-open for the day.

Just want to say what an amazing vet these people are!! From helping our cat who got shot with an arrow to seeing our other cat who needed to be treated immediately. They were always transparent and quick!! Reasonable with pricing and understanding of all situation. Honestly, a really great, caring place for your fur babies.

Dr. Myers is absolutely wonderful. I have been taking my dog to Hershire for years but just recently we discovered a few issues with his health. Dr. Myers was very thorough with explaining his condition and options for treatment with no judgement on what we decided to do. She takes her time with answering questions and makes you feel like a priority.

We had to take our boy there for his journey home. They were gentle with him and patient with us. They allowed us to be with him until the end and didn’t make us feel rushed or uncomfortable in any way. They explained what was happening, before they did anything, in a non callus way. You can tell everything was done with love after we left and it means a lot. Not something you want to have to worry about, but it happens. They took a terrible situation that we all dread and made it bearable and not traumatic.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this practice after a surgical procedure for our oldest dog. I saw the Google review about cost and I didn’t find that at all. Being patients at a well known… practice in Annville, I found Hershire to be less in cost than that practice and excelling in care and compassion when dealing with a difficult dog.
Our 14 year old, growly mixed breed female dog had a crazy tumor on her head that suddenly started growing and bleeding out of control in August. The Annville practice wouldn’t see her bc she was a few years out of her last visit.
