Born and raised on Oahu, I have an intimate knowledge and love for this little island in the sea. It's a modern approach to shooting portraits. It's where you're shot as you actually are, but in a way that's still subtly guided and posed. You're placed in nice light, and positioned correctly in the location, but then allowed to just be yourself and captured authentically.

Wedding photography is an intimate gift and I'm always humbled by the opportunity. Weddings go by so fast, and you might be having a beverage (or more), so it's my job to make sure you can look back at every moment and remember it beautifully. This is FUN, I get to share one of the best days of your life with you.
Family portraits are one of my favorite things. It's about the people we love. The person you've chosen to be your companion in this life and possibly the littles or not so littles you've created along the way. I love the randomness of these shoots. I love being accepted into people's world for a moment so I can get to know them and capture them exactly as they are, but in a beautiful way.
Oahu engagement and couple's sessions. For many engaged couples, this is an opportunity to get to know your photographer without any of the stress related to your actual wedding day. It's a way to test out the vibe and see if it's a match for your wedding. Also, it's just alot of fun. Even if you're not getting married, and you're visiting Oahu for the first time together.
Commercial work is extremely satisfying. This is a chance for me to work with a large or small business and work thru an idea. I love building content for people's websites, or social media platforms. Its really cool to help a business elevate their imagery, and feel like I'm helping them accomplish their goals in a small way.

There are no words to express how happy we are with our family photos. We were so lucky to have found Brandon he not only made us feel very comfortable he made us feel beautiful. Our family visited Oahu late June and had our family photos taken by Brandon Smith Photography. We’ve had professional family photos taken before but never have we ever had such a friendly, knowledgeable, lively, wonderful, and fun photographer! Brandon took our family pictures while we were vacationing on the island. He was phenomenal! I had read the online reviews for many photographers before our trip, and selected Brandon for our family beach photo shoot after reading his reviews. I would completely recommend him, too! We immediately hit it off with Brandon and had a blast! After searching for family photographers on Oahu, I found Brandon and really liked his portfolio. He was extremely prompt in replying to me and was very easy to stay in contact with. Brandon's prices were very reasonable for the session and I appreciated that we got a lot of the final photos to do with what we wished. He kept the session professional, relaxed, and had us laughing most of the time! The photos turned out beautiful.

Brandon is a phenomenal photographer! My greatest wish was to have photos for my business and personal life that truly reflect how I see myself and all the parts of my personality.
