Blood tests are an essential part of diagnosing what is ailing your pet, just as they are in human medicine. Blood tests can tell the veterinarian a myriad of things, from whether your pet is dehydrated to whether he or she has anemia to whether your cat or dog is suffering from cancer. Red blood cells are used to determine a number of factors.

Laura Girard told me my Ella pug might have rectal cancer. She is bleeding and then FORGETS To do the referral. When I call almost a MONTH LATER to inquire the front staff acting like I was “wasting their time “ and then “oh ya she didn’t put it in “ why didn’t I call university of Florida? Why because i refer humans not pets AND IF I thought… someone had cancer I wouldn’t charge hundreds of dollars and then forget to refer for the biopsy FYI the front staff reflects the tone of the office. If you don’t like what you do then find another job

Dr. Girrard is extremely conscientious and thorough. She is an excellent diagnostician. If your pet has an unusual condition, such as eyes, Dr. Girrard is happy to refer you to specialists along with their address and phone number. Dr G. has a great "bedside manner" and is easy to talk to. The technicians display a high standard as well. They are articulate and knowledgable. They also are very good at handling your pet. The faciity is clean and very new.

I don't even know where to begin. While the staff was OK, the Veterinarian Lea Girard was a freaking rock star! She listened and with all my history with the other Veterinarians in my life back home, I actually felt like she knew what she was talking about, cared and not once did I feel rushed. My dog has a very unique situation (Glioma or epilepsy, apparently dealers choice) and things aren't as straight forward as we'd like them to be, but alas I think I found someone that can aide us in our journey. Now I didn't get to meet her in person, my dog did (Agh, COVID you pain). However my experience
