With over 20 years of experience, our speech therapists look at the whole child and incorporate sensory-motor based activities. Specialties include best practice treatment for Autism, Down Syndrome, Apraxia, Sensory and Auditory Processing Disorders, Feeding/Swallowing issues, and speech delays. MEEC also offers a center-based summer speech camp for those children who require consistency throughout the year in order to maintain their progress.

Middleburg Early Education Center was founded in 1973 as an outreach mission of Bethel Lutheran Church. With the continuing support of the Bethel congregation, MEEC has thrived through the years. Quality preschool programming is provided for children with special needs and typically developing children in classes that feature full inclusion.
Middleburg Early Education Center is now part of Heinen's Teaming Up For Education program. This means that using your Preferred Customer card every time you shop at Heinen's helps build a donation for MEEC. You must sign up for Heinen's Tasteful Rewards program and then designate MEEC as the school you want to receive the percentage from your purchases.
We will once again be offering Summer Speech Camp at MEEC. The program is center-based and delivers developmentally and individually appropriate activities. Eligible children are 18 months-6 years of age with a variety of speech-language, social/emotional, behavioral and developmental needs.
