We hope that Caravan can serve our community during this new time of need. The rooms are fully furnished, and cute as a button. There is high-speed internet, kitchens, bathrooms, and an outdoor courtyard. Each tiny house is fully independent, and has two separate beds. The rooms are always kept to immaculate cleanliness standards and we are sanitizing the rooms now with the appropriate cleaning and sanitizing agents.
Our staff are taking every recommended precaution to protect themselves and our guests- wearing gloves, spraying disinfectant on all surfaces and practicing 6ft of social distancing both at Caravan and in their personal lives. Please email us at info@tinyhousehotel.com or call us at 503.288.5225 if you are in need of a weekly or monthly rental.

Deb Delman and Kol Peterson are the founders, owners and partners in running Caravan. Deb is the site manager for Caravan and has spent her adult life living in unusual small dwellings from a yurt in Colorado with no running water and wood heat to a barn in SE PDX, a garage that she remodeled into a cabin-like ADU.
As the first tiny house hotel in the world, Caravan provides our guests a unique opportunity to experience tiny house living in the heart of the Alberta Arts District in Portland. Since Caravan opened in the summer of 2013, we've opened our gate to thousands of people in an effort to educate the public about the tiny house movement, tiny house building and living, and other forms of small housing such as Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs).
My time spent in The Caboose is without a doubt one of the most pleasant and memorable hotel stays I have ever had! The tiny house is beautiful, cozy and fantastically located. Thank you so much for your hospitality! The Caboose joined Caravan in the winter of 2013, and it is a beauty.
Modeled after a train caboose, the interior pops with detail from the custom built benches, cabinets, ladder, and fold out dining table, to the cobble-wood floor, curved roof elements and copper shelving.Built with the finest craftsmanship, the builder included his signature artistic elements such as the Mason jar lighting and copper piping.

The cutest and coziest place in the whole world! I didn't want to leave! Everything about our stay at the Caravan was perfect! If you are looking for a unique and fun place to stay while your are in Portland, Caravan is definitely the place! The Amazing Mysterium is the newest member of our tiny house family.

Cozy, fun... but really loud.
The place was very quaint and cute, but after the fun factor wears off, not sure it’s worth the price for more than one night.
Positives: it’s a cool place to sleep for the night - a perfect place to explore the Alberta district from. The coffee was great, appliances worked, the shower pressure was good and water was nicely hot, the bed was comfortable and overall the place was in good shape.
When I saw there was a box of ear plugs by the bed it made me wonder. The compound backs up to a very busy bar and unless it was Super Tuesday, I think this is the norm

We booked the Caboose for the 1st night of our 25th Anniversary OR trip. Was a great experience. Cool neighbor for walking, food and drinks. Very friendly atmosphere and safe environment. Check-in concerned me at first but it was a breeze. Clean, well-appointed and fun. Couldn't have asked for more. Everyone was helpful here.... everyone. Loved this place.

Great atmosphere in the caravan. Good location near a lot of activities. Just a 4 block walk to curious comedy club. Lovely owner.
Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because the air conditioner was a little lack luster. We stayed during a heat wave 90-100 (not typical as far as I know), and escaping the heat was a priority for us. Otherwise, it was great. I'd stay again.

Caravan is a very unique hotel. We've been curious about tiny houses and Caravan provides that special experience. My husband and I initially booked for two nights in the Caboose, in celebration of his 40th birthday. We enjoyed it so much that we booked a third night, but because the Caboose was already booked after our stay, we ended up booking another tiny house, Skyline. It was pretty exciting to be able to stay in two different houses in one visit. Both houses were uniquely different from each other and I like that. Their website was very informative, therefore making booking very easy. They

We had a great time staying here. We stayed in the Tiny Caboose. We slept 2 people up top in a queen bed, and then two kids each in their own bunk bed. The amenities in the caboose were nice. We used the hot plate and pan to make eggs in the morning and made coffee with the provided coffee and kettle. The outside area was very cute with free s’mores fixings and fire pit area.
