The mechanics of buying a home in Northern Virginia and the metro Washington, DC, area can be an overwhelming process. Add the emotions of envisioning your future home and the financial commitment involved, and the result is a process fraught with challenges and pitfalls. The Wethman Group prides itself on having helped hundreds of clients successfully navigate these challenges.

Katie Wethman, Managing Director of the Wethman Group, brings a combination of 15 years of experience as a CPA, investment banker, and business consultant, and 10 years of residential real estate experience to her clients in an effort to become a trusted business advisor on one of the largest and most important investments they will ever make.
Services
Katie is a CPA and an MBA, which is important because your home is one of the biggest investments you will ever make. Katie grew up in Southern New Jersey, just outside of Philadelphia, but has called Washington, DC, home since 1994. Katie graduated summa cum laude from James Madison University with a double major in Accounting and Finance.
Buying a home can be an overwhelming experience. It's one of the largest investments you can make, and involves many parties-not only buyers and sellers, but agents, brokers, inspectors, lenders, attorneys, appraisers, and others. For those reasons and others, it's important to have an agent you can trust to be a sounding board and adviser during your search, and also to manage the mechanics of the transaction in a business-like way.
We want to be the real estate team to help you. We commit to working with you individually and taking the time to understand the unique selling points of your home and neighborhood. We're an advocate for our clients, with the goal of obtaining the best price, terms, and conditions for them. We've built our business based on results, and we want to earn your business!
Relocating to the Washington, DC, area does not have to be a challenge! The thriving Nation's Capital and the surrounding areas are what we know best! We often find that incoming clients are on the fence about buying or renting in the area. The DC area is a very transient one, and many people find themselves packing up to leave just as quickly as they arrived.
Often when couples decide to go their separate ways, the home they live in represents their largest asset, and often the biggest question about how to proceed. As an increasing number of our clients have been dealing with the dilemma of how to handle a co-owned home when getting a divorce or just splitting up from a partner, we are putting together resources to help this segment.
