Beck and Company Real Estate Services, Inc. was established in 1988 as a sole proprietorship and incorporated in 1996. Carl Beck opened a full-service real estate management company after 20 years in the industry. Beck and Company has consistently and brilliantly served clients and the Greater Austin Area.
The Association Manager also handles communication, maintenance of the HOA files, facilitates communication, resolves owner's problems when possible, and provides administrative support services the Board of directors, and handles after hour emergency calls. Portions of the Association Managers role in clerical and communication may be handled by the Administrative Assistant.

This is by far the worst Real Estate services company I have ever experienced. They don't take care of anything, but they sure are quick to take the fees and money they charge for doing nothing. They are poor at communication, they lack the ability to support any property they manage. They bring down the property value of any complex they manage. But they are good at having office parties and telling people you can call back when they are back in the office. I am the owner of a general contractor here in Austin that is doing work for Calvin, one of the managers. My experience has been awesome! For a contractor it is important that scheduling and processes are smooth...this is by far one of the easiest companies to work with from a vendor side. Calvin is very responsive, detailed and works hard for his residents/owners.

Calvin is the worst. He regularly provides no information or misinformation in regards to question and concerns involving Riverwalk condos on E. Riverside Dr. in Austin Texas where I have been a owner for the last 8 years.
We recently had a catastrophic flooding emergency in our building caused by another owner flushing wipes and paper towels down the toilet. The entire lower level of the building was flooded causing a category 3/4 water emergency. Calvin claims the claim the HOA cannot do anything about the damage, stating we have to use our own individual homeowners policy to cover the damage

I own and live in a condo managed by Beck and Co and also work in property management and manage other rental units in communities that they are the HOA. Most of the time I deal with Calvin and he is always helpful and easy to communicate with. Providing services to customers and clients while staying within a budget and managing the approval process is not easy, but they they do a really good job.

I have lived at a property managed by Beck & Co. for 6.5 years now, and never before have we had such a great point person--Nicole Fousek! The value of having a property manager who is knowledgable, helpful and a problem-solver cannot be over stated. Despite her fairly large portfolio of properties she manages, I have never had a hard time getting ahold of her. Additionally, Nicole brings real expertise to the table and helped us as residents and board members find the best solutions for any of our problems. Late in the spring of 2018, as I was finishing my first term on the Board of Directors of Tiffany Condominium’s, I was introduced to our new property manager, Mystre’ Van Horn by Mr. Stan Schreiber. Mr. Schreiber was a former co-owner of Beck and Company which he and Mr. Beck had recently sold to Paul Meisler, President of Pioneer Real Estate Inc. For the last 36 of its 50 years, this property had been maintained by a very conscientious and fiscally conservative board.

Calvin has regularly given me misinformation and refuses to answer simple questions. He won't admit he doesn't know about something, do the research and come back with a true and helpful answer. Along with his lack of customer service skills, he doesn't seem to have a basic understanding of how condominium insurance works- what the owner vs. the HOA are responsible for; i.e he doesn't understand what "walls in" means.
He is currently trying to have cars with out-of-date registrations towed, which is in direct conflict with the exceptions Gov. Abbott put in place

Lisa Spearman is the manager for my condo association. Since I moved here in 2007, we have had several nightmarish experiences with managers (NOT from Beck), so my neighbors and I were wary at first. Since Lisa took over, our community is a different place. So much better in every way. If I ever have an issue, I email her and she gets back to me right away. She has hired outstanding, affordable companies for painting, extermination, landscaping, and so forth. Our place has never looked better, and our finances have never been in better shape. Thanks Lisa!

This property company has taken it upon themselves, despite no regulation from the city, county, or state to do so, to shut down our laundry and pool areas with no input from residents, no process of appeal, and now have completely stopped responding to owners calls, emails, voicemails, or the online communication board. No one has received any response from Beck since August 11 and it is now August 25th.
They are also refusing to reduce or refund already-inflated HOA fees for failure to render services.
They are very condescending toward owners, falsely accusing us of preventing maintenance

This Company hired very unprofessional accountant! I have Condo on 1411 Gracy Farms and i paid my Special Assessment fee 2020 in full last year, 3 month ago they gave me a credit and said i overpaid! Great! I called them and asked to cut me a check and mail it!!! never received a check!!!next month statement had a negative balance, they said they made a mistake and i did not overpay.. so now i owe them,,AGAIN: i had never received a check from them and asked to avoid that check.. seams like no any problem.. thats what they said.. Guess what.. just received a July Statement and they still want

I just wanted to express my appreciation for the job Mystre' D Van Horn does for us at 3000 Guadalupe. She has always been very responsive and super helpful. This company helped our property, the Ivy Condos on Manchaca, resolve a water billing issue that was costing us hundreds of thousands of dollars. Our manager Calvin has always responded promptly to my concerns. On the other hand, accounting has not been helpful and typically ignore my emails. But generally I feel they help us keep a clean, safe property.

The new lady, Mystere, is worse than the one before her. She also ignores all my emails and makes yup an excuse that "accounting is going over it". Apparently it takes accounting months to respond to an email because they have never responded or else she never actually sent it to accounting. It appears they have no problem overcharging me then ignoring my requests to correct it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Also, they review they just wrote underneath is a lie, I am an owner of that condo and they are using it as an excuse to not communicate. Convenient since they owe me money for

I never post reviews, but had to find a place to let people know how bad this company treats tenants. The staff is indifferent to people when they ask for help and the company only cares about the payments and income, not service. I'm not sure how they remain in business. Maybe Austin has a lack of management companies? I looked at the Google reviews and Beck has more stars there because several old reviews from property owners. All the recent reviews are horrible. I recommend reading reviews from several sources before your HOA hires this company or you use them for a property. I will be
