Services
We provide a Taekwondo black belt program that combines the full white to black belt curriculum of Taekwondo, HapkiDo, and Tang Soo Do. We offer a separate belt program for Haidong Gumdo, the traditional Korean sword martial art with over 12 classes each week. Our Olympic Taekwondo program is one of the best in the country.
Little Tigers Taekwondo classes are structured to include age-appropriate instruction for younger children. We provide an atmosphere where kids learn, have fun, and want to continue coming back to class. Instructors maintain discipline while encouraging each child to learn at his or her own pace. The Little Tigers focus on proper etiquette and learn the foundation to become true martial artists.
Taekwondo gives me the energy and self-discipline to reach my full potential in all areas of my life. This makes me feel so good about myself that I can actually take on more and achieve much more. The programs Vasquez Taekwondo offer children are carefully planned and structured according to their age and ability.
Children as young as four can start training in Taekwondo. We have specially designed our Little Tigers program and our Little Tigers training room to kids of that age. They can easily handle the curriculum we have provided. Plus, with dedicated preschooler equipment, and specialized instructional staff under the leadership of 5th degree black belt, Mrs. Vasquez, they will leverage the best equipment and instruction available.

Our 8 yr old son has absolutely thrived since joining Vasquez Taekwondo. It's helped him improve his focus and his discipline which is translanting into many other parts of his life (like better focus at school and in other sports). And the best thing is he loves it! The Vasquez family truly embraces each and every one of these kids as their own. It's very clear this is a life calling for them to pour into these kids. They teach solid and sound Taekwondo techniques/principles but make it fun and ultimately keep it centered on teaching life skills for these kids. We are big fans of the Vasquez fam

My child gave this place a try for 2 months before we decided on another school in the area. My kid tried different places around Mckinney so we could compare different taekwondo gyms. There are plenty of options around. I read good reviews online. I saw over the two months there were new students enrolling because of promotional pricing but they did not stay. Unfortunately I felt like the program is a trap for milking more money out of the parents. The family who runs this place is about money and caters to those who can spend more. The classes are subpar, taught by teenagers/college students

About 7 years ago, I started training TKD at Vasquez Taekwondo Academy. Unfortunately I had to move before I managed to reach a high belt level, but I remember loving every second of being here. Despite the mid to large size classes, every student receives the attention they need from the instructors to succeed with their training. I highly recommend Vasquez Taekwondo Academy to anyone looking for a martial art to learn or just a way to stay in shape

Vasquez Taekwondo Academy is a family owned organization that treats you as one of their own. My twin 12-year-old boys have been attending classes at VTA for two years. They have been well prepared as they have moved up to the rank of red/black belts under the guidance of the Vasquez’s and their highly trained blackbelt assistants. After six months, one of our boys commented that he felt like he belonged at VTA. They also have a chance to demonstrate their skills by attending tournaments.
