We have restored our normal class schedule at the dojo in the evenings. We will have regular practice on Tuesday through Friday evenings at 7:30 PM and weapons practice on Saturday mornings at 9 AM. For over 30 years, North Texas Aikido has served the community with Iwama-Style Aikido in a safe, friendly atmosphere that fosters learning and development at a pace tailored to each individual student.
Join us for serious training in the peaceful and effective martial art of Aikido, at our free-standing dojo set back amongst the woods and plains of our eight-acre oasis away from the noise and distractions of city life. From North Central Expressway (I-75), head east on Bethany Road towards Lucas.

Services
Courtesy in the dojo is more than just a tradition, it is an integral part of Aikido training. By creating a harmonious atmosphere, it aids in learning; and by practicing kindness towards others you work toward self-improvement. A dojo is a special place where people come together for mutual benefit.

Currently residing in perhaps the only purpose-built Aikido Dojo in North Texas, if not the whole state, North Texas Aikido has been my home for over 26 years. The depth of instruction, not only from the instructors, but also the senior students, is testament to the school’s dedication to quality continuation of the art.

I have been training at North Texas Aikido for 15 years and have enjoyed the teaching from Russ Alvey, Sensei and the caring of all of the students to assist in training for mutual benefit. The training and socialization that the dojo presents is wonderful. I ALWAYS feel like a member of the family. GREAT TRAINING, GREAT PEOPLE!
