Balzan Gem Laboratory was founded by Cortney Balzan who has been involved with the gem, jewelry and appraising world for over 25 years. Cortney became the first Master Gemologist Appraiser in Northern and Central California in 1983. He was also the first in the world to accomplish the combined titles of MGA, GG, FGA, and DGA.
Balzan Gem Laboratory will prepare your Appraisals/Valuations using the highest industry standards and equipment by professionals with proper credentials. Electronically weigh, measure and proportion grade loose diamonds using Sarin Technologies. We can also remove mounted diamonds from their mountings for a Sarin Technologies grading upon request.

Needed a ring sized for the next day. Came in and they helped advise on the right size given the finger sizes and the other jewelry that is to be worn. The job was done promptly, professionally, and for a low fee. We also had a great conversation about stones and types of jewelry.
