We were visiting Crozet after going to Afton and walking the Blue Ridge Tunnel (if you have not done it is an easy walk with history plaques along the way). Actually just came upon the Smoked Kitchen. Food was good. Atmosphere casual. You can sit inside or outside (ground level or upstairs). We saw people with a dog sitting at an outside table (great option when not crowded.. which it wasn't). The staff was very friendly and helpful. You can call ahead and pick up your order, eat in or out. It is housed in a bigger building and above it is an ice cream shop for after your meal (if you have room

We've been coming here for years and the food is consistently great and we always get generous portions. The one time our take out order was missing an ingredient for the salads I called them back and the manager (or maybe owner?) went WAY beyond expectations to resolve the issue. So if you ever do have a problem I would let them know! I highly recommend the fried chicken, pulled pork nachos, and the brisket - we all love the Cobb salad too - we'll be back again soon. Smoked has become a family favorite. I just noticed on their website that they are even doing a smoked Turkey for Thanksgiving

My wife and I were in town for a wedding for the weekend, and enjoyed this place so much, we dined there twice, once inside and once to go. They really understand smoked meat here, and seem to use the highest quality ingredients. Staff was friendly and efficient. There is a low key, down to earth atmosphere that fits their style of food. The pork, fries and other sides we sampled were all good. They are very generous with their salad portions as the attached pictures will show. We will definitely revisit if/when we make it back to the area.

Came here because Crozet Pizza happened to be closed -- what great luck! I didn't realize how good the food would be. I had pork bbq and the smoked pastrami with Cole slaw. My wife had the brisket with the cream corn with smoked jalapeños and the Mac and cheese. We shared an order of smoked wings with a dry rub. Top honors go to the wings, pastrami and the creamed corn. My wife would not stop raving about the corn. Close to the top was the pork bbq. I'd definitely recommend this place!!

This place was tricky to find thanks to spotty Internet in Crozet but the locals helped us find it. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, fantastic brisket and a cooler full of canned and bottled drinks (some local libations). We all got the brisket sandwich which was to die for but the toppings were strange. Maybe it's a thing and we're new to southern BBQ but it came with yellow sliced cheese, coleslaw, spicy sliced pickles, raw white onion slices and bbq sauce. We only used the bbq sauce since it was so good without any of those strange toppings. The sides are extra so we'll

The restaurant has plummeted to an all time low. We use to frequent this establishment often and would highly recommend it to others. Never again. The restaurant is a fast food skeleton of what it use to be. No straws, one napkin per customer and canned drinks. The food was total mush. Nachos were the cheapest chips available, no sour cream or avocado dip and a total slop of who knows what! The owners should be ashamed to show their faces. There are truly no redeemable aspects of eating here.

Really good flavors and service.
Our party of 8 was served in less than 10 minutes and everything was genuinely delicious.
It was open and fully staffed on Sunday evening.
Only annoying things were the lack of iced drinks available (only bottled and canned drinks) and the lack of a waitress or waiter to grab an extra napkin or some ketchup. Otherwise, top notch service.
We will absolutely be back! We'll just wait for them to lay off the COVID era practices a bit.

You know it is legit when you see and smell the smoke from the pits as you park! We had the Pick 3 meats and got smoked turkey, ribs, and pulled pork. We picked 3 sauces that were Carolina firewater (medium if you like spice), Honey red, and Spicy red (also medium to me- I like spice!). Additionally, we enjoyed the beans and the crinkle fries were killer!! No taps, but good selection of beer and wine. I enjoyed the fall off the bone ribs the most! The smoked turkey was also good. We've been in N. Carolina, so the pulled pork was good but a bit dry. The Carolina firewater was vinegar based

Giving this place 4/5 for the fried chicken and pulled pork. They both are flavorful and hit the spot. If you order a sandwich make sure to have the coleslaw on the side or the bun will be soggy.
I highly recommend the sweet potato fries with the honey mustard. The blackberry bbq was an interesting texture/thick if you prefer that type of sauce.
Overall solid BBQ spot, and customer service was friendly.

Got takeout. Nice looking place inside though.
We expected the chicken to be pulled. It was cubed instead, but was still good. It was very smokey.
The fried chicken was to die for. You get a huge portion, 2 breasts. The breading is awesome. I love the use of large salt pieces. I'd order it again in a heartbeat.
Loved the Mac and cheese too. And the cornbread tasted like cake. It was awesome.

As far as my hubby and I are concerned, we don't know how this place can earn less than 5 stars! We were headed to a winery in the Crozet area, which we don't know at all, so Off to YELP I go, once again! I placed my order when we were about 25 minutes out and we waited only about 5 more minutes. No worries...totally worth the wait! I ordered the:
Smokehouse chicken salad club $13
signature smoked chicken salad,
texas toast, swiss, honey mustard,
bacon, lettuce, and tomato
It came with a side and I chose the BEST EVER sweet potato fries I have ever eaten! The

Smoked kitchen is a delightful lunch spot in Crozet with a southern menu. The atmosphere is casual and open which makes it a great lunch spot. The service is friendly and fast. While we were there we tried brisket and chicken. The meat was tender and flavorful. The biggest downfall I saw was the lack of veggie side options. Obvious you go for the delicious meats but as someone who needs something else which a meat I felt like I was left with few options. I did love their cornbread! It may not be traditional but it tastes like yellow cake mix.
Overall it's a delicious place and I know I&apos
